I'm up to "Something Borrowed" with the Torchwood episodes.

Am I killing you guys with these updates? heh I feel the need to keep them up so that I can continue to catch up with the episodes. I promise to be quieter when I catch up on Skins episodes.

Although, I might be bothersome when I finally watch Dexter.

Why do I still HAVE TO ENJOY THE TOSH/OWEN BITS? In particular the end of "A Day in the Death".

And finally! They put such a flattering dress/outfit on Tosh. Am I the only one to notice that they like putting baggy shirts on her? She was gorgeous in "Something Borrowed".

AND OWEN ASKED HER TO DANCE. Fuck.

And Owen, oh Owen, I could care less about you in S1 and this season...ow. You're hurting me.

The Jack/Gwen thing is...what is it? Is she in love with Rhys and Jack, but Rhys will "have her"? Does she just love Rhys more? WHAT?!

WHY DID MARTHA HAVE TO GO? *pouts* While I liked her goodbye, why the fuck did they film that Jack/Martha kiss so awkwardly? Why not let it be some friendly, mutual, peck?

But really, I adored Owen and her's interactions.

I also loved how Tosh handled that guy at Gwen's wedding. That was great.

And this will be under the cut, just in case.

So, next year, Doctor Who is supposed to have those three specials, right? And DT is still the Doctor.

I was thinking that each special could be a "missing adventure" of the Doctor with Rose, Martha and then Donna (as separate companions, missing "episodes" from their time with Ten). That'd be kinda fun, yeah?

And if that's when DT decides to leave (I have no idea, personally, if he ever plans on leaving at any time), then that would be a pretty nice send-off, yes?

Am I talking out my ass?

If I'm remembering right from what I read a while ago, the reason the next DW season's so wonky is because David Tennant had other obligations to fulfill. It was either the specials for that season or recasting, and neither he nor the production company were ready to give up on him being Who.

What I've heard from the business side is the opposite - that they needed to take a break to ramp up new digital production (and RTD was making noises to go), and so it freed DT up to do other things. That makes more sense to me.

Personally, I'd rather get backstory on Eight and/or Nine for the specials, but that's not likely to happen.

I remember hearing that as well, I'm just curious about what the specials could be.

I've got the sickening feeling he's never going to go, and I'm going to have to give up the show to keep from going insane. I want an actor, damn it, not an attention junkie. It's a mark of the (erratic) quality of the show's writing that I'm still drawn in, in the hope of another "Blink".

As for TW, I really liked the idea of Owen's "death arc" - it would be nice if we got a contrast between "too alive" Jack and "dead" Owen. Otherwise, it looks like a lack of imagination about "killing" someone.

I enjoyed "Something Borrowed" as a romp, although they are a little confusing over the whole Jack/Gwen thing. Clearly, there's chemistry (a hell of a lot more than with Ianto), and that sometimes happens, but they don't really seem to deal with it - even making it unclear if they realize what's happening between them and are trying to resist something.

Much improved, but need to keep working, I think! And why is Ianto there again?

I really wish they would start moving DT's Doctor out. Unfortunately, I feel we're too much in the minority and they seem to leave the choice of the leaving up to the actor (or at least up to the actor who portrays the Doctor).

Yes, I quite liked Owen's "death arc", but it did feel lacking. Perhaps I'm to used to these situations being "fixed" so it feels unfinished, I just don't know.

Yeah, "Something Borrow" was quite fun, even if it confuses the Jack/Gwen thing even more, and even the Jack/Ianto relationship a bit.

Definitely something needs improving on. Like the fact that Ianto is still only good for reactions. For shame.
