Okay, so I gave Gilmore Girls another try on Tuesday night, and that didn't go well.  Won't be watching that again until I hear some good news.

And a small word on the new Smallville...

I'm having lots of fun rewatching season 1 of Veronica Mars on DVD recently.  Capping episodes I haven't seen and making icons, watching the ones I've seen (the majority), it's fun!  And I'm seriously enjoying the new season, although...

Battlestar Galactica is back, and that deserves it's own post, but I probably won't make it till next weekend, write up my thoughts about the first four episodes.  But I will say this.  I WANT MY OLD LEE BACK.

Lost is...interesting.  I find some of it fascinating and some...not.

I've been watching Heroes with my dad and LOVE IT.  Hiro, predictably, is my favorite and surprisingly, I really like Milo Ventimiglia's character, Peter.  But so far, I'm really intrigued with all the storylines.  Oh, and of course I love seeing Greg Grunberg!

On my meh list of what I'm watching, Grey's Anatomy, ER (for Abby and Luka only), I'm really starting to watch The Office and I'll be watching House whenever that comes back on.  I hate to say it, but I think I'm forgetting something.

OH!  I've been watching Dead Like Me on SciFi, don't even want to guess what they're cutting out, and I'm now looking for it on DVD.  I love it, seriously.  I'm still forgetting one or more.

So, when does Torchwood start?

There are always these two episodes of ER that always make me bawl.  And it never matters how many times I see it, I always cry when I watch them.  And I've seen them both at least 3 or 4 times, because ER repeats every weekday on TNT and I watch it.

One of those episodes was on this morning, and without fail, I cried.  Doctor Who, as heartbreaking as two or three of their episodes are, never made me do this, nothing really has.  ER just has this special place in my heart, and even though I am extra sensitive to things on TV and it's not really that hard to make me cry, it's easy to hold in on repeated viewings.  Which is why I mentioned DW, because their episodes "The Parting of the Ways" and even "Doomsday" made me cry on first viewing, but never again except TPotW that one other time.  These episodes on ER call up the waterworks EVERY FUCKING TIME.

More under the cut because I believe someone on my flist probably has no clue about these episodes.  And I don't want to ruin it for her.

Anyone else have that one episode, of anything, that they just can't get over?  Gets you everytime and you just cry and cry?

Oh wow

I...made a fanvideo to Doctor Who.  To the episode "The Parting of the Ways".  I have no idea how I got the idea, but I did and I used a song that I've sort of become obsessed with, Leah Andreone's "Lamentation".  Unfortunately, I didn't think ahead and I'm having trouble with the music portion so I can't post it until next week, or so.  But I made a fanvid.  OMG, how this show eats my brains.

But yeah, I'm getting the whole CD of hers, Alchemy, and it sounds pretty awesome.  Can't wait.

On a completely different note, I was watching ER this morning, and the character Peter gave this awesome little speech.  I can't find any written anywhere, but he just describes how much he loves his son, and pleads that his son not be taken from him and the actor does it in this desparate, heartbreaking way that it just made me want to weep for him.  I did find out that the writer of the episode was John Wells, and he always has the best dialogue.  I love his scripts and episodes.  But yeah, that just really stood out to me.  The episode was "The Peace of Wild Things" if anyone cares, from season 6.

See?  ER used to be this amazing show about these characters that worked in a hospital and you cared about them.  You cared that Peter might not be the biological father of his son, that Lucy died and that Carter was stabbed and when Carol when back to Doug.  *cries*  I miss that!

So, that's it for today.  I'm working on a new batch of icons to be posted soon, if anyone still wants to make a request.

Later!

P.S. This is also a GIP because this is one of my own icons that I just love.  I'm so happy with the cropping and the coloring and everything.  I'm not a person to go all OMG, look at how awesome all my icons are, but there are that few of mine that just make me so happy with how they turn out.

I bet you all have noticed that Doctor Who sort of owns me, and come October, so will Battlestar Galactica when it returns for it's third season.  But you know what?  The repeats of Farscape that a few channels in my area are showing?  They so completely own me as well.

Like, last Sunday, they aired the second part of "Into the Lion's Den: Wolf in Sheep's Clothing", which was the first time I've seen that episode.  Holy shit, it was frellin' awesome.  There's so much from season 3 that I loved, and season 2.  I've seen a lot of season 4, and that's pretty awesome, although, I suppose I'm in the minority that completely enjoyed that season, aren't I?  And of course the miniseries.  That rocked!

But regarding that episode, it goes to show how much I love that show that when John was saying goodbye to Pilot and Moya, it pretty much made me cry.   But the ending was made of awesome, with the ship going down and everything, amazing sequence.  Um, I'm thinking I should put all this under a cut, just for those that haven't seen these yet, or just don't care.

OMG, on a completely random note, I was watching That 70's Show the other night, and it was a repeat of the series finale, and I have a little funny to tell about it...
I'm...enjoying Stargate: Atlantis.  And am looking forward to future episodes.  What's up with that?

I keep re-watching random series one episode of Doctor Who(2005).  I wanted to do icons of "Bad Wolf", and never intended to watch while I capped it, but I so totally did!  I didn't even want to, but I did.  Of course, it's one of the best episodes of series one, so it really can't be helped.  It's one that gets better everytime, like most of the episodes.  I really don't have a favorite, although, "The End of the World" is as close to my favorite as I can come, almost all of the episodes are awesome (except for most of "Aliens of London"/"World War III" and I really am not fond of "Boom Town").  I've also watched the Children in Need special more times then I would liked to admit.  I've yet to see many series two episodes multiple times, I'm sure I will sometime later.  Just not into it right now.

Longer post than I was expecting and I intended to not mention Doctor Who, but there you go.  I'll just let this post go before I start talking about Christopher Ecclestion again.  But...that man..no, I'm done.  Later!

So, the move into the new house is going okay.  Parents are getting really worried about time, but I'm not.

Who else knows the movie "The Cutting Edge"?  I just love and adore that movie.  It's hard to explain, it's hardly the BEST MOVIE EVAR.  But it's great.  Kind of like "America's Sweethearts", I love it, but it's not some great Oscar-winning movie.

Anybody heard of the movie "Soapdish" with Kevin Kline(LOVE!) and Sally Field from 1991?  That is pretty much my favorite movie ever.  Along with "My Cousin Vinny".

I've been pretty "Doctor Who"-themed lately, but I was just watching "The Cutting Edge" and thought, I love movies.  Let me share that with my flist.

Has anybody seen "Nacho Libre"?  If you have, is it worth seeing because it looks funny to me and I really like Jack Black (who the hell else knew that he was MARRIED?).  So let me know if you have.

Any movies that you like, share with me!  Give me some ideas of any movie I might be missing out on.

That's a great icon, yeah?  THAT'S THE SHOW EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH!  Why don't more people watch "Scrubs"?  Why didn't more people watch "Arrested Development"?  That show was awesome.  I miss "Scrubs" because it's on NBC.  I don't really watch that station.  I watch one show on ABC, none on CBS, once in a while NBC, FOX except they piss me the fuck off.  How the hell do you cancel a show when only FOUR episodes have been shown?  And you change the night and time they were on after two episodes without warning?!  Sorry, I'm still really bitter about "Wonderfalls", even though I have it on DVD now.  I watched UPN for "Veronica Mars", which could stand more viewers, but now I'll be watching CW for it.  I think "Gilmore Girls" is gone off my to-watch list.  When you completely kill my favorite character, I don't like you anymore.

I want "Battlestar Galactica" back now, even if they have ticked me off a lot bit.

Okay, that's enough for now.  I've got lots of icons to post later this week.  Or next week.  You can guess where they're from.  And I have to finish my "Satan Pit" review for "Doctor Who".  And I don't really want to discuss the last episode of "Doctor Who".  BTW, I pretended the episode eneded when it went to white there, at the end, before, well, you know what I'm talking about if you've seen the episode.

Heads up for those in the US and that watch Battlestar Galactica:

Tonight at 9 o'clock on Bravo, Jamie Bamber who plays Lee Adama aka Apollo will be on Celebrity Poker Showdown (or something like that).

Also the actor who played Hercules on the TV series will be on there too.  And Jason Alexander for anyone who likes him.

Enjoy!

For those that might not know who he is, *points to icon*.  He's hot and British and awesomely cute.  You can't not love him.

So long since I have posted. Anyway, I just wanted to post that I have finished my first week of school. I have these classes: Gen. Biology, English Comp. II, British Lit., Algebra (what a joke for myself), and a virtual course-Understanding Visual and Performing Arts. I think this semester will be easier and harder than last semester. Harder for personal reasons, because I don't like my roommates and the one I did moved. Easier because I know basically what to expect from my classes and the course work.

Other than that, I am enjoying TV. I have never been so involved with TV as I am now, and never so in love with a show as BSG. Speaking of BSG, it makes me think of this past Friday's episode, which I will post my thoughts on tomorrow, promise.

Also, check out my icon! They are one of the only OTP that I will always ship and never waver from. In case someone reads this and doesn't know who they are, it's Wash and Zoe from a show a few years ago called Firefly. I also have another one of Sydney and Vaughn from Alias.

My default icon, which can be seen above, is from BSG, and what Lee is doing reminds me of something I would do. The quote is what I would be yelling while covering my ears.
