I don't know what happened, I've been really distracted. I actually missed the real last day for this meme. Blergh.

Anyway, here's Part 1 of the last ten days of the meme.

Day 21 - Favorite ship

Boy, there's quite a few to name here. I have Jim/Pam, Nine/Rose and John/Elizabeth listed in my profile. And I will always love them. I think I want to add a couple to that though. About a year or two ago, I started watching Frasier on Lifetime in the mornings and really got into it. And I really really adore Niles/Daphne. The scene here is one that really got me and I love watching that episode whenever it comes on.


Day 22 - Favorite series finale

Soft spot in my heart for all the series in the '90s that went out. I remember I used to watch The Nanny with my mom and Dr. Quinn.

But more recently, and I think this might put me in the minority, but I really loved the ending to Angel. *shrugs* It worked for me, I was crying a little and my jaw might have dropped a bit, but it went over well for me. I didn't feel at all disappointed. Well, disappointed that it was canceled, of course!

I also loved the Buffy finale. That one felt right to me as well.

And while I'm not as overall fond of the Lost finale as those others, the last few moments were just right. I was totally crying when it ended on Jack.


Day 23 - Most annoying character

The first character to literally pop up in my head is Rodney McKay from SGA. I never warmed to him like others did, I can't think of too many episodes that I haven't wanted to smack him upside the head at least once.

And Lois from Smallville. I know I have some on my f-list that like her, and I kind of liked her in S4, and honestly? Never got better for me, I personally have been annoyed with her since S5, and it just got worse.


Day 24 - Best quote

Sorry, I have to fall back on my DW quotes on this one! Mostly because there are so many awesome quotes from so many shows. I told you that if I named DW as my fave show, I'd be relying on it!

So, here's three, I'm adding Tosh from Torchwood:

Day 25 - A show you plan on watching (old or new)

Didn't I saw I'd watch Being Human? I have to still do that. Also, I think I've been trying to watch The West Wing. That's just a lot more to undertake than Being Human!

Day 14 - Favorite male character

I'm sorry, is that a mystery? I adore tons of male characters, loved Lee Adama, I will always have a soft spot for Jack Shephard, adored John Carter but my love for the Ninth Doctor is so high that I think it's impossible for me to love another male character more.

Day 15 - Favorite female character

A few, probably. Martha Jones, Elizabeth Weir, Toshiko Sato, Chloe Sullivan, Abby Lockhart, Willow Rosenberg, Buffy Summers so so many. There's no order.

But there's something about Abby. I don't know. I love these women, but I always go back to Abby. I don't know why.

Day 16 - Your guilty pleasure show

I mentioned it earlier, I'd have to say Wipeout. It's so ridiculous. And I may or may not check out some soaps. lol

Day 17 - Favorite mini series

Oh my darlings. Why must you ask? To chose one...North and South. Perfection, really. The build up and the payoff. It's so beautiful and allowed me to really like Richard Armitage because I hate his character on Robin Hood.

Day 18 - Favorite title sequence

Oh fun! There's a lot to enjoy. But I really think one of my favorites was the one from Wonderfalls. Although, I do adore the ones from Veronica Mars, Buffy will always have a place in my heart, Angel, Friends, yada yada yada



Day 19 - Best TV show cast

NO NO NO. I can't.

But if I have to chose...Firefly. That's it.

Day 05 - A show you hate

Just one? hehe I have always very much disliked Everybody Loves Raymond, but I have hate that's probably bordering on irrational for Two and a Half Men.

I loathe that show with everything in me.

Day 06 - Favorite episode of your favorite TV show

Ah, Day 6 is better matched with Day 7, but I don't mind the extra time to think up a good response to day 7.

Anyway, there are many episodes of the previously mentioned favorite show from Day 4, Doctor Who, that I love.

But for a favorite, I always come back to "The End of the World". While I adored "The Unquiet Dead", and it's what probably really hooked me, TEotW is what made me come back to see TUD the next week, it's one that I've watched the most. The ending still gets me.

It's perfect. /gushing

Day 02 - A show that you wish more people were watching

To try and narrow it down to one, I'd say Chuck. I've just really adored that show and it seems like since it started it's been on the bubble.

It's just so much fun! Plus, there's Chuck, can't not love that man, heh and Sarah that you're bound to have a girl!crush on, and seriously everyone else is just love.

And a show that I also love, that doesn't actually seem in any danger, on SyFy, Warehouse 13. Utterly awesome. Seriously.

If I had done this meme a few months ago, my answer would have been Legend of the Seeker, no other options, but alas... :(


Day 03 - Your favorite new show (aired this TV season)

Blah, just one? Probably Glee. It's the first one that comes to mind. And I'd totally give you guys a clip, but I can't get the clip(s) I want because I'm fickle.

I can't help but enjoy the show. I always look forward to the singing. Which is weird, because sometimes it makes me feel embarrassed. *shrugs* I don't know.

How sad is this?! EVERYONE has done this. I meant to post this last night but I just saw someone else on my f-list do this and I thought MUST DO IT NOW. sheeeeep

So, a couple of these I blanked on. I don't really have an angry icon, I do find the one I picked to be my cutest icon but I don't think I have the definition of a "cute icon" in my collection, I just picked a random ship I had for fave ship, I picked my newest and most current fandom for fave fandom, didn't know what to pick for best stolen so I picked one with "stolen" text. Favorite overall is just timing :D Also, I CAN'T believe how many of my icons were up for saddest.

I love that song, so much. Listening to Brandi Carlile's self-titled CD can't help but make me think of Martha Jones, so it's certainly not a bad thing :D

The Kitchen God's Wife by Amy Tan

Maybe that fortune-teller could not have told me anything to change my fate. Maybe she used only the most ordinary tricks and nothing she said was genuine. But what she said was certainly true about me: Unhappiness was coming my way, and I did nothing to keep that speck from blowing in my eye.

I read this book back in high school, and really liked it. I would recommend it. It might be a little hard to read at certain points, because there's nothing really held back by certain point of views - it's hard to explain. It's a good book though.

And...that's what you get when all your books are next to you when you're tagged for this meme :D It was this or Pygmalion, as they were both nearest me.


Some random things....

-I still haven't watched any Torchwood episodes. I've no idea why. Icons I've seen are enticing me.

-I'm keeping up with the new episodes of Primeval, though, and loving it. Can't wait to see the newest one.

-I love Torri Higginson.

-I really, really hope the rumors of the writers' strike being over by Monday are true. But if the writers don't find it fair, I'll find a way to deal with that because they deserve a fair deal.

-I think I'm pretty much done with Smallville.

-I want The Office back NOW, seriously.
