How is everyone? Good? I feel like I'm disappearing. Remember when I made sure to make one post a day? HAHAHA. I should talk more about something.
Like TELEVISION!
Hahaha.
Let's see, Heroes is done, I'm not watching it anymore, I thought I was over Lost, but I'm not because I'm watching it again this season. It's frustrating to me but I CAN'T STOP WATCHING AGAIN.
And disturbed because I think they've killed off a disproportionate amount of women to men and I hate that a lot.
I'm watching too many shows. Although, luckily Psych is done for a while, and BSG is almost over. Sorry, but that's starting to feel like a trainwreck and I'm a little relieved it's almost done. I'm really sorry to say that.
Did I hear correctly that Burn Notice is only a few more episodes? That'll be one less show to record for a while.
Anyone watch The Closer? Because every time I do, I think fuck Jim Halpert, I want a Fritz Howard.
AND, I'm adding Law & Order: UK, because hello, Freema and Jamie.
Jamie's accent! He'll never get to use his own, will he? I heard that this one was a different one than his, but I was actually taken aback a little when I heard him.
I thought this was okay, seemed like a typical pilot (or at least, I assumed this one was the first written (or re-written?) and filmed. It felt like it.
But most of the actors looked comfortable in their characters. I don't like to say it, but Freema was the one that looked hesitant in the role. She'll get into it though.
But Jamie, he was great. He's already got it down, shouldn't be that surprised. But still, it was lovely to see him in this role.
I liked the others too, I'm just not familiar with them as actors.
Definitely looking forward to how this goes. Can't wait to see them on their own though, writing their own scripts.
AND on a shallow note -
Pretty Jamie:

Gorgeous Freema (I love her hair like this):

AND LOOK, THEY SHARED A SCENE WHERE THEY LOOKED AT AND TALKED TO EACH OTHER:

That was useless, heh.
I'm gonna go make homemade chicken noodle soup. YUM.

Date: 2009-02-24 07:55 pm (UTC)You don't like BSG so far? I really love it and I'd like to know what you think is a trainwreck. I haven't seen episode 16 so.

Date: 2009-02-24 09:58 pm (UTC)I like it, but the trainwreck I'm referring to is ep. 16. You might disagree, but it wasn't expected so close to the end of the series.

Date: 2009-02-24 09:59 pm (UTC)Yeah, it's a pretty pointed show and I don't see it straying too far from it's American counterpoint. But I'll find a way to get interested!

Date: 2009-02-25 01:49 am (UTC)I'm so protective of my icons that I can't get rid of them! But yeah, I'm pretty much done with Heroes. It's not like Lost, there is no end game that I can think of.

Date: 2009-02-24 08:13 pm (UTC)I saw a preview trailer on YouTube of L&O UK and I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that the main narrating voice at the beginning was British instead of the same monotone American guy we have for ours. I wonder if this how British people feel when we steal our own versions of their shows.

Date: 2009-02-24 10:02 pm (UTC)OMG, when I watched the episode and it opened with the narration I started to laugh so hard because it sounded so weird to me to hear the British voice instead of the American one. hehe

Date: 2009-02-24 10:06 pm (UTC)Damn Lost for doing this! I almost got away.
Hmmmm, you list it like that and it almost seems more balanced than I thought. Huh. Maybe it's me, but I think it's 'cause I liked more of the women they killed off than men.

Date: 2009-02-25 01:51 am (UTC)Aw, your icon :) That was a lovely moment.
So, what did you think of last night's episode? Shallow, I thought the best scene was Cuddy giving him his job back and House saying Thank You so sincerely.

Date: 2009-02-25 03:56 am (UTC)Oh, that hurt at the end when he did that. He is so self destructive, and all Cuddy (and Wilson) wants is for him to be happy (i.e. painfree). It was so freakin' frustrating, too.
I didn't like this methadone storyline. My mother was on methadone for years (it really is a great painkiller), so their extreme reactions startled me, the schedule and rules Cuddy gave him to come back to the job should have been their initial reaction. Their doom-and-gloom about it bugged me a lot.
I mean, my mom said that all he had to do was lapse once and take one vicodin with one methadone and it'd possibly kill him, but still. Methadone is meant to take you off the destructively addictive drugs, the pain killer in it helps with the withdraw. I don't know, it felt like I was missing something in this episode.
