Why can't we all just get along?

Anyway...

So, I totally meant to wish y'all a Happy Valentine's Day! I'm so sorry I didn't, and also there's a meme going around about being grateful for f-list members, or something? I'm so doing that tomorrow soon!

Anyway, I was reading a Doctor Who post, somewhere that I wasn't supposed to be, and I just realized why it really hurts to see people bash Martha. More than when people rip into Rose.

I've mentioned to you guys before that I feel attached to her (Martha) because I feel like I can relate most to her, so when I see people start ranting about her having a crush on the Doctor or being "in love" with the Doctor (the way she would say she loved the Doctor can be debated in what way she meant, IMHO), calling her stupid and petty for it and other stuff, I feel like I'm being attacked because I've been through exactly what she was.

Well, not the time traveling bit, but the having a crush on someone who doesn't deserve it/doesn't return it, and while RTD didn't need to do it, and I agree it wasn't at all necessary, it was still written in and it still hurts when people attack her character over it. It's a weird feeling to have, but everytime I see it, it just doesn't feel good.

I guess I just hate seeing characters get bashed, period, so when it's a special character to me, it hurts.

*pouts* Damn post that I wasn't meant to see because I'm not apart of that comm anymore.
