Day 26 - OMG WTF? Season finale

Isn't that every Lost finale? I'm pretty sure "The Last of the Time Lords" fits perfectly with that.

And there's two Alias finales off the top of my head that fit that. Season 2, and season 4 which is when I was watching the show live.

Jumped out of my freakin' seat and rewind that scene a couple times. It was like bam and then BAM.

Day 27 - Best pilot episode

There's quite a few great pilots. Pushing Daisies, Glee, Alias (shush, I'm on a roll with that one, remembering how I loved it) but really?

Lost will always stand out in my head as being the best pilot episode. Okay, I can't say always, but it's that special place for me. It was utter perfection.

Day 28 - First TV show obsession

Without a doubt Buffy. No shit, I was so obsessed with that show I wanted to BE Buffy. I begged my mom to buy me a cross necklace like she had, I wanted to dress like her, and be tough like her.

I loved that show so much, to this day my mom can tell you about the show because I talked about so non-stop (she never watched it). For the rest of my life, I will have a ginormous soft spot for each and every actor on that show because I loved it so much.

Day 29 - Current TV show obsession

Um...let's go for the less embarrassing one...Warehouse 13. I adore it so so much you guys! I can't wait for each new episode. It's just so fun, and you have characters that are people, they have growth and there's friendships and they're a family and they're consequences and it's fantastic.

Oh and as it is SyFy, there's horrible science that hurts the brain but is fun too :D

Day 30 - Saddest character death

Awww, there's too many! There's Fred from Angel, Tosh from Torchwood (and Owen), Lost, which is still too recent for me, so many others.

But one that has always, always, stood apart in my head is from ER, when Lucy was killed.

I know there's deaths that will always make me cry, I can be an easy crier, but this one episode makes me weep beginning to end. It's so heartbreaking. I remember that we recorded this (on VHS!) and my mom told me not to watch it alone. I did anyway. I honestly couldn't believe they killed Lucy, I thought she had made it through, and it hurt so much when she didn't. The episode itself is amazing.

And that's the end of the meme, two days late, lol

Here's the whole 30 days if you want to do this... )

I got so distracted from my meme. Blergh.

Day 14 - Favorite male character

I'm sorry, is that a mystery? I adore tons of male characters, loved Lee Adama, I will always have a soft spot for Jack Shephard, adored John Carter but my love for the Ninth Doctor is so high that I think it's impossible for me to love another male character more.

Defining moment of Nine... )

Day 15 - Favorite female character

A few, probably. Martha Jones, Elizabeth Weir, Toshiko Sato, Chloe Sullivan, Abby Lockhart, Willow Rosenberg, Buffy Summers so so many. There's no order.

But there's something about Abby. I don't know. I love these women, but I always go back to Abby. I don't know why.

Video that might explain why... )

Day 16 - Your guilty pleasure show

I mentioned it earlier, I'd have to say Wipeout. It's so ridiculous. And I may or may not check out some soaps. lol

Day 17 - Favorite mini series

Oh my darlings. Why must you ask? To chose one...North and South. Perfection, really. The build up and the payoff. It's so beautiful and allowed me to really like Richard Armitage because I hate his character on Robin Hood.

I watch this scene and the ending scene from the series all the time... )

Day 18 - Favorite title sequence

Oh fun! There's a lot to enjoy. But I really think one of my favorites was the one from Wonderfalls. Although, I do adore the ones from Veronica Mars, Buffy will always have a place in my heart, Angel, Friends, yada yada yada

Day 19 - Best TV show cast

NO NO NO. I can't.

But if I have to chose...Firefly. That's it.

Moving on.

Hopefully back tomorrow night with more to say besides talking about this meme. How are you guys?

There are always these two episodes of ER that always make me bawl.  And it never matters how many times I see it, I always cry when I watch them.  And I've seen them both at least 3 or 4 times, because ER repeats every weekday on TNT and I watch it.

One of those episodes was on this morning, and without fail, I cried.  Doctor Who, as heartbreaking as two or three of their episodes are, never made me do this, nothing really has.  ER just has this special place in my heart, and even though I am extra sensitive to things on TV and it's not really that hard to make me cry, it's easy to hold in on repeated viewings.  Which is why I mentioned DW, because their episodes "The Parting of the Ways" and even "Doomsday" made me cry on first viewing, but never again except TPotW that one other time.  These episodes on ER call up the waterworks EVERY FUCKING TIME.

More under the cut because I believe someone on my flist probably has no clue about these episodes.  And I don't want to ruin it for her.

Anyone else have that one episode, of anything, that they just can't get over?  Gets you everytime and you just cry and cry?

Oh wow

I...made a fanvideo to Doctor Who.  To the episode "The Parting of the Ways".  I have no idea how I got the idea, but I did and I used a song that I've sort of become obsessed with, Leah Andreone's "Lamentation".  Unfortunately, I didn't think ahead and I'm having trouble with the music portion so I can't post it until next week, or so.  But I made a fanvid.  OMG, how this show eats my brains.

But yeah, I'm getting the whole CD of hers, Alchemy, and it sounds pretty awesome.  Can't wait.

On a completely different note, I was watching ER this morning, and the character Peter gave this awesome little speech.  I can't find any written anywhere, but he just describes how much he loves his son, and pleads that his son not be taken from him and the actor does it in this desparate, heartbreaking way that it just made me want to weep for him.  I did find out that the writer of the episode was John Wells, and he always has the best dialogue.  I love his scripts and episodes.  But yeah, that just really stood out to me.  The episode was "The Peace of Wild Things" if anyone cares, from season 6.

See?  ER used to be this amazing show about these characters that worked in a hospital and you cared about them.  You cared that Peter might not be the biological father of his son, that Lucy died and that Carter was stabbed and when Carol when back to Doug.  *cries*  I miss that!

So, that's it for today.  I'm working on a new batch of icons to be posted soon, if anyone still wants to make a request.

Later!

P.S. This is also a GIP because this is one of my own icons that I just love.  I'm so happy with the cropping and the coloring and everything.  I'm not a person to go all OMG, look at how awesome all my icons are, but there are that few of mine that just make me so happy with how they turn out.
