I caught the tail end of a story on NPR about how the Olympics have cheerleaders for the first time this year. I wasn't able to hear all of it, so I didn't catch the reasoning or what sports besides basketball (and apparently volleyball) they were at.
What I don't know is if cheerleaders are typical at volleyball games. They weren't at my school, but my school was not typical at all.
That's interesting. I can't say that I've ever watched volleyball outside the Olympics, but it made me giggle and question it when I saw the cheerleaders. LOL
