Anyway, it regards Christopher Eccleston's new TV role...

From TV Guide:
Claude, an invisible man played by British actor Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who), appears January 22. "He's been living with his invisibility for many years and has come to grips with it, so he'll give us a different view into this hero world," [Heroes creator Tim] Kring explains. "He's big, imposing and charismatic, and will become a mentor to Peter - albeit a tough, reluctant and stern one. He'll help Peter learn to use and control his powers."

How fucking awesome is that? Also, I so called the fact that he'd be in Peter's storyline.

Also? HA, that's to all the people who claim CE isn't charismatic. Of course he is! How else would he romance a tree convincingly? That makes no sense, but having such confirmation that he'll be on the show has made me beyond happy.

You can tell, right?

Here's hoping he doesn't need to be invicible often, if he's mentoring someone, then it'd be awfully distracting if he kept disappearing, literally. Although, really funny to think about.

Also, nina_ds brought up a very good question, shaved head or lots of hair? I'm just hoping they don't mess with his accent.

I so hope to see some shots of him very very soon! I kept looking for him when they showed the preview tonight!

Hmm...VM...one unpopular opinion might be that I liked Jackie. And that on retrospect, I don't like the fact that Logan's dad was the murderer in S1.

And I could care less about Logan and Veronica currently. It was nice in S1 but now, so what?

My dad's all sad about the break in the show and I keep tilling him, Oh it'll be back Jan. 22! And he's like but that's almost two months. He's making it worse on me! And he wouldn't understand my excitment!

SO far, the cliffhangers have been okay, I've dealt with it, but I can guarantee, I'll be waiting all next episode till the end just to see if there's some clips that show CE!

I just read there were lots of Ronon and Teyla moments (cheer!) and that it was funny.

Interestingly, one post I read, there was no mention of Carson!

And sadly no mention of any John/Elizabeth scenes. Mention of the fact TPTB may be pushing Teyla/Ronon, which makes me happy, if only for a very selfish reason. ;)

I love the Teyla and Ronon relationship, because as she pointed out in Sateda, they're the outsiders and I think they like to take advantage of that and hang out more.

I just have to ask? What poor, deluded soul thinks CE is not charismatic? Not the Doctor, okay, we'll agree to disagree, but he's incredibly charismatic. I mean, really, the guy's played the second coming of Christ on Earth to great acclaim, blown Eddie Izzard and Derek Jacobi off the screen (even though I love them both dearly), and made Iago into a sexual dynamo.

I don't remember who is was, but I believe it was someone saying that DT was charming, or charismatic, I think, for the role of the Doctor when "clearly" (may be my own words) CE wasn't. I'm probably remembering wrong, but that was the impression I was left with.

You know, I think I was confusing charming and charismatic.

I'm more forgiving on the "charming" thing, because that's more subjective, though I have problems with "charming" because it often embraces "insincere" (see Jack pre-Doc/Rose, and Ten). I find Nine more charming because he's disarmingly open and genuinely interested, but he can also be charmingly awkward....considering.

I dunno. Sometimes I wonder if Eccleston's charisma is so overpowering people can't quite deal with the nuances and just find him...threatening.

BTW, I teasingly asked a friend the "shaved or floppy" question on the phone tonight, and before I even got the question out, he was swearing, "Shaved. He's got to shave his head. No hair. NO HAIR! Skull, baby." I'm like, oooookay, then, we're going with the shaved head. It will help with the imposing part. The floppy hair tends to make him more woobie.

You can see the trailer here (http://neworleansmonamour.com). Its longer than Who, shorter than Othello, and I think this was late summer. I guess it depends on how fast his hair grows. Somehow, though, once the word "imposing" was mentioned, I get strong shaved head vibes. I want it Revengers short, Hamlet short. Let the ears free! Long may they wave!

The friend who was so adamant about the shaved head has often said something with which I agree - there's something rather sensual about the big ears and his unself-consciousness about them. They're so delicate and kind of out there, exposed... This can get really kinky if you think about it.

I love your icon. It gets the ear, the eye/gaze, and the cut of the cheekbone. All that's missing is the hollow of the temple. I love unconventional beauty, and CE has it in spades. His is quite...extreme. Everything is exaggerated, but stripped down, it's almost paradoxical.

Let's see...unpopular...I sort of kinda hate the Jack/Rose pairing? Because it bugged me in "The Empty Child".

-Ten's a not so great Doctor.

-I love S1 Jackie along with S2 Jackie.

-"The Girl in the Fireplace" really isn't that great an episode and "Doomsday" abuses our feelings about the characters and I don't like it at all.

I wish I had watched more older episodes because then I could have some REALLY unpopular opinions! ;)

Heroes is a new show here in the US, about ordinary people finding out they have these abilities, like they're straight from a comic book. It's very enjoyable and CE plays a new character with an ability that comes on in Jan.

Ahh lol, I agree with pretty much all of them...jack/rose doesn't bother me really, just was a bit annoying in Empty Child...totally agree about 10...don't like or dislike Jackie...& I thought GitF was the worst ep. =/
I wouldn't've said those were unpopular opinions! Lol. Not the 10-not-so-great one, anyhow. But I guess it depends who you're looking at when you say 'unpopular opinions'..

Also, Lee is my favorite character.

I don't hate Kara, I barely dislike her, but what's unpopular about my opinion on her? It's not recent! It's been this way since I started the show in the beginning of it's first season!

I really don't like Kara/Anders. The pairing turns my stomach for still unknown reasons!

I like Lee/Dualla.

I really liked the Basestar storyline this current season, with Baltar. It fascinated me.

The episode "Scar" about Kara kinda sucked IMHO. (As did Lee's episode before that, but that's not really the unpopular opinion)

Kara/Lee has lost a lot of its appeal to me, so there's a lot hanging on the next new episode. I'm not giggling in anticipation over it.

I don't think Helo's all that cool.

I'm so excited I can't hardly stand it!!!!! I knew I should be reading TV Guide! It will take FOREVER for January 22, to get here!! Maybe now CE will get the recognition in the US that he so richly deserves!! If there's anyone out there who doesn't think he is charasmatic and intense---fuck 'em!!

Question--If you are in FL, how the Hell are you watching "Torchwood"??

In regards to Torchwood, I have certain ways of obtaining the episodes. Probably shouldn't, but I can't help my curiosity.
