What is it with PTB on TV shows thinking they're Gods and that because it's their show everyone will love whatever they do?

Fucking PTB just want to fuck with the fans. At least a show like Doctor Who is built around change, these other shows I like are not meant to be like that, at least not in the same way.

Fine, go ahead and screw me over, we all know how badly you want your show fucking cancelled, so just plow ahead.

Fucking sadists.

I'll admit Daniel and Vala are interesting for a couple, if only because I like some of their interaction.

I think I rebel against Vala/Cam because they were on Farscape together!

Change has to happen, but it really has to be handled well. I can almost handle catastrophic change better than the sort of creeping, sneaky "don't watch us as we undermine the characters you got to know and love or change the tone of the show" type of change. Particularly when they're trumpeting how much better things are. Shows can change and get better/deeper and absorb cast changes (M*A*S*H and Babylon 5 come to mind), but it can be tricky.

The "Bobby Ewing in the shower" kind of changes are the worst.

See, I understand change, encourage it, but changes in character should mean growth not S2 Rose.

This little rant was courtesy of PTB that don't seem to give a rat's ass about the viewers and is adding and removing characters that they should really, really leave alone.

Grrr...all these damn PTB think their shit don't stink. Sickens me.
