I just watched the new episode. It was okay and I liked Shakespeare.

I just don't want to talk about it because a certain scene pissed me the fuck off. I'm gonna try and calm down before I talk more about this episode.

ARGH! At least RTD didn't write the episode, so I can't lay ALL the blame at his feet.

God, that scene pissed me off.

And yes, my icon is appropriate. I promise, I'll cool down about this. Eventually.

ETA: Talk of said scene mentioned in the comments, as are other parts of the episode. Probably spoilers if you haven't seen it.

What? Do you know what scene I'm talking about? :) I think you'd loved it.

Yeah. I'm not pissed off because it was shippy or whatever. It still, nonetheless, pissed me off for other reasons.

Heh, and you love Chloe.

The whole Doctor mentioning Rose at the expense of Martha's feelings.

If was very much an assy thing of him to say, it really was. And completely unnecessary. I can deal with Rose mentions, I understand them, but this one just wasn't right.

He basically just said that Rose would be better than Martha in this situation, which 1)I don't think we'd know that and 2)Why the fuck would you say that to anyone?

Martha is great, but I understand what you're saying.

I though he just said that Rose would know what to say.

He did, and then went on to say that Martha's just a novice, implying that she's not able to know what to say. And he definitely liked saying that it was just "one trip". And being an ass may be one of Ten's traits, but it's one I so hate.

Like I said, I understand the Rose mentions and the only reason they annoy me a little is because Jack never got a mention, Mickey never got a mention, and like the Rose fans that would be pissed off if she wasn't mentioned, it pisses me off.

I would like the Rose mentions a lot more if they weren't made at the expense of the new companion. I'm all complaining about fandom unfairly comparing Rose and Martha and here we have the DW writers doing the same thing!

I mean why can't it be oh Ten STFU about Rose already.

That's actually what I've been seeing. Whereas, I can settle with those small, quick, minor mentions of Rose, if they fit.

Actually, now that you mention Jack/Torchwood, that makes sense.

Their trying to get the people that are meh about Martha to feel sorry for her

Hm..that may actually be part of my problem with it. I don't want to feel sorry for Martha, she's pretty kickass in her own way.

Well see next week, I'm really curious about any, if there are some, mentions of Rose because next week they're returning to a spot he and Rose have been before.

Completely off from what we're talking about but I'm just utterly curious if you saw my newer Primeval icons. There are some there you may be looking for?

More angst, oh I can already see the seething from some people. LOL.

It really can be amusing at times. When I just breathe, I find this fandom hilarious.

Yeah, I posted new ones. It was just a few days ago, so you probably were without internets.

Just curious why would the Doctor mention Mickey or Jack like he mentions Rose? It was a longer period of time and he didn't have the same feelings for either men that he had for Rose.

Because it feels like they're putting this huge emphasis "the importance" of Rose when I don't feel they should (that's just me). *shrugs* It's just a smaller problem I'm having with S3, but not that big.

Oh I see. But I do think Rose was entirely on a different level then Jack and Mickey. I think they kne that too. Other companions like Sarah Jane etc. no, but with those two yes.

Yes, she was different than Jack and Mickey, but I think I just got a little worked up because the first mention (of Rose) last night was just unnecessary and I just didn't like it.

*sigh* From what I've heard, we might not.

I'm so livid my head might start hurting. Focus on the small amounts of good, dammit, focus.

You're right, focus on the little that was good, I can do that. Right? Yes, damnit, I can.

If you figure out how to focus on the good, give me instructions. I'd be quite grateful.

Shakespeare flirting like mad with Martha?

Now that could work.

that scene (have read your comments for confirmation that it was the same one I had issue with) bugged me too. I thought he was a bit rude, but I was more bothered by the on-going seriousness of the flirtation. Or the apparent seriousness of Martha's interest. *shrug* It feels too soon. Not in terms of "Rose just left" but in terms of "Martha just met him".

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't mind some of the flirtation, but it was very...bold in that scene.

Seriously, I think Martha needs to slap him. Or something else. Maybe it's just that I don't feel Ten missing Rose, I just feel him wanting to feel sorry for himself.

I was truly waiting for him to do it. I'm hoping she hit him extra hard later while getting one of his hearts going.
