Doctor Who fandom: Worth it for the wank and because I'm slowly letting it all amuse me and ignoring certain...factions of the fandom?

Or not worth it because I still get that occasionally glimpse where I have to curl up under my bed just so I don't blow up and get my bitch on?

The latter doesn't happen so often because I'm learning to not get into what I know will do this to me and I'm just trying to take it all in stride. Really!

It can be construed as spoilery because it hasn't aired in America and because I think some on my f-list haven't finished(or even started?) watching.

It's one I made from Robin Hood (episode 12) and it's perfect to me because it's one of those rare icons where I go in with an idea and it comes out sooo much better. *sigh* That was a fantastic episode as well.

Oh, dear. What's happened now? Sigh. I wandered into the "alpha/dark" conversation yesterday. Twice. I know I shouldn't have, but I think they've got their definitions ALL mixed up and are way too happy with Ten being an egotistical megalomaniac without considering the consequences of his power trip. It gives me the same creepy feeling when there's squee about Sylar...

I think all the fandom crap going on is just mixed together in this. I try not to let it bother me because if some people's mentality I can't understand, I'm sure it works the other way.

Yeah, I know what you mean about that debate. For "dark", I suppose in a way Ten does have that edge, but he's not scary and he's not intimidating and he is in no way "alpha".
