I suddenly flashed on Lynda asking him about how people felt about her on the outside of the Big Brother house - he looks trapped for a little moment, then comes up with something that he seems to feel. That she's sweet. And he says it genuinely. It may be a lie. It's probably a lie. But he knows what to say.
I hate to say this, but Ten is just validating all my feelings based on his acting/body language that he's a selfish, insensitive git. And Rusty seems to think it's cute.
Without the Time War, I think we're to assume that there wouldn't be a Nine yet. But assuming there was, I dunno. I think if events went the same, when Rose turned him down the first time, he probably wouldn't have come back.
It's interesting because I have an idea of how I would like it to have been if Nine met Martha instead and then thinking what it probably would have been like.
It wouldn't have really been the same, but truly, I think Martha and Rose are more similar than people like to admit. One of the main differences is that Martha is a little more forceful at times. And, like in "Gridlock", we've seen it's a good thing. And I think her and Nine could have worked well together after a short time.
