meganlynn09Oh Doctor Who, how I love you. I got to see the new episode last night, and I don't think I'll have any problems seeing the rest of the season. How awesome, new eps (for me) on Fridays and Saturdays. Cool. Anyway, my thoughts on the episode last night.
So, yeah I'll miss my Doctor (because he was my first, my favorite, and mine) but I know now that I'm going to adore David as the Doctor. I'm just so excited!
It was such a cute episode! Billie and David had to have a blast filming. My fave bit? At the end when the girl came up to give the Doctor a hug. Not only would I do that, but he was just so sweet, "That's right, sweetheart"(or something), so sweet hugging her back. And his reaction to the kiss. "Still got it", that will never not be awesome.
HAHA Cassandra!Rose was awesome. Billie just did that so well, I loved how she changed her voice. And the "bouncy castle" was so funny, not a line I expected, and it cracked me up, goodness, Billie was a hoot in this one.
And Cassandra!Ten? That will never not be funny. And the Cassandra!Chip? Gave one of my fave lines in the episode "Sweet Lord, I'm a walking doodle." or something. So very funny, it was all in the delivery.
So, David Tennant will definitely win me over, but I couldn't help but think of Chris Eccleston, and picture him in Ten's place, which gave me a very funny picture in my head during Cassandra!Ten's little samba moment (which is one of THE funniest things I have ever seen, go David!).
Some hilarious lines throughout, and I think I would have enjoyed the "chav" line had I an idea of what it actually is. I heard somewhere it's the equivalent of US's trailer trash? Someone let me know.
And when he kept yelling to Rose about the disinfectant, and muttered to himself that she'll find out? That was funny, I don't know why, but I busted out a laugh when he said that.
But when the were talking in the beginning about their first date? Nice to know that yeah, he's the same, it just made me miss Nine. But it was cute.
So, very good. Very good. I'm more excited about episode 3 though, I want to meet Sarah Jane!
