I have now watched Northanger Abbey *points to icon* and the 1995 version of Pride and Prejudice.

I very much enjoyed both. Particularly NA because I had not a clue what it would be about so it was such a pleasant surprise.

I enjoyed the miniseries of P&P better than the movie version I saw two years ago (the 2005 version) mostly because it was so spread out and there was no rush to it.

You are evil [livejournal.com profile] quiet_fractures. I blame you for all this. Damn romantic kick, my ass.

I really like this icon. Oh hell, I just adored Mr. Tilney.

And you have been promising me for months you would watch Billie's stuff. *Turning my back on you and stomping off.*

I will! I just hadn't been in the mood before. Now that I am, I'm gonna get on that. :D

*hugs you* or, at least, *hugs your back*

What should I watch first? It's Mansfield Park and...Ruby in the Smoke, correct?

Yes and there is also her older stuff.

I've, sadly, not had much interest in her previous works, but I'm not really familiar with everything she's done, so I'll be looking into that. :)

Shakespeare Retold and the Miller's Tale are excellent.

Yes, those are the ones I was thinking about as well.

Hmm...what sort of foreign films?

Oh Mr. Tilney. Definitely too cute.

I remember I enjoyed the movie, but not so much the romance, because like you, it was hard to see or hard to buy. Although, the ending was lovely.

Hee, you have quite a good idea there.

Oh, yes, I should see those both. I've been interested in Love Me If You Dare as I saw a commercial/trailer for it once and that it looked good.

I've never seen either and have been told my many that it is sacrilege to love P&P (the original book) and not have seen Colin Firth. Should I rent it?

Damn romantic kick, my ass.

I'm always on a romantic kick. You can't go wrong with historical romance. Well, you can, but not often. :D

Well, I wouldn't call it sacrilege, but I certainly enjoyed it. I couldn't honestly tell you if it follows the book (as I never read it), but it's six-50 minute episodes, and very good.

I highly recommend it. :D

I know what you mean!
