So, my dad was catching up on the Tin Man miniseries, which meant I re-watched Part 3 the other day and you guys...
It really wasn't as bad as so many people have complained about. Seriously. Aside from the abrupt ending, it's good. Still some iffy parts, but overall, so enjoyable.
And then there's the talk about turning it into a series...
I don't want it made into a series, but I think a follow-up miniseries would be really interesting.
I've heard some grumblings about people not liking that Azkadellia was actually possessed, they would have rather she turned evil on her own, but I'm okay with that, it makes for a compelling redemption/recovering storyline.
And then you have the Longcoats and others that followed Azkadellia that weren't possessed at all.
How interesting would it be to see how that's handled? How many people don't believe the possession "story" and how many Longcoats and scientists want to continue what the witch was doing? You could get into the psyche of people who chose to be "evil".
And then you'd have DG adjusting to life in the O.Z. and Cain, Glitch and Raw and what life they'd settle into, and the rebels and stuff.
I'm putting way too much hope/thought into something like that, and now that I think about it, would that actually work as a miniseries, because what would the ending be?
There'd have to be another story to tell, otherwise no ending would feel satisfactory. And it'd feel pointless, stupid, and repetitive to have another witch or evil entity around.
Which is why this probably isn't a good idea.
But it's interesting, right?
And hey, I'm still working on those icons for you, my lovely lovely f-list. I'll have all the requests and some extras just to throw out to you hopefully by early next week :D

Date: 2007-12-11 03:57 pm (UTC)See, I don't want to see what happened before, we know enough, IMHO.
I'm fine if they decide to do nothing though, mostly because I wouldn't watch a series either.
