So, I've seen a couple posts with people talking about their favorite Battlestar Galactica characters, and mine's been Lee Adama since pretty much the beginning.

My first episode was....S1's "Act of Contrition" and for some reason I was drawn in by Lee. *shrugs*

I've never been able to describe how I feel about him or why, but then I saw two posts by two people that I usually agree with on their feelings. And they talk about their favorite BSG character: Lee Adama!

First is [livejournal.com profile] queenofthorns's post here, with an added picture of Ben Browder from Farscape :D

The other is from [livejournal.com profile] asta77 here.

I think those posts work well :D

And they both have pictures, which is always helpful ;)

I'm so effing lazy.

I have almost completed a full rewatch of BSG and I just love it. I watched the original and at first I stayed away from the re-imaging, but it's such a brilliantly crafted show that it is hard not to love it. Scifi geek or no. Like FarScape, I find myself liking almost everyone. I have been disappointed in some of the characters, but I still care about them all. I just watched the webisodes for the first time and poor Duck. And I felt for Jammer. He was trying to help and things just got away from him.

I think my fave character is Sharon and/or Boomer. Boomer broke my heart as she fought against what she was and Sharon's courage, determination and empathy always gets to me. They have both been torn apart by circumstances and I can't help rooting for them. And the love story between Sharon and Helo is one of the truest on the show. They stand by each other no matter what.

I also love the friendship between Adama and Tighe and think it is one of the most fleshed out male friendships in recent television history. And of course I love Lee, Starbuck, Roslin, Gaius, Caprica, Gaeta, Dee (not always after Billie)Chief, Callie, Sam and really everyone.

BSG really shows its characters warts and all and doesn't make apologies for them. I love that about the show.

I really admire how the show portrays the characters as really people, and just like real people I don't like some of them! I wish I could, but some of them just make me want to scratch my eyes out.

That's a bit extreme, but I'm so....I don't know!

But I love the show because it does show everything good and bad about these people and we get to know these characters as so real.

I definitely plan on re-watching S1 and the first half of S2 sometime soon :)

Well, you don't like everyone in real life, so why should it be any different for fictional characters? I think for me Dee would be the one I come closest to disliking. Sniff Billy. I am on S3 and as much bitching as people did, it is still really good. I prefer a continuing arc, but the stand alones were still well written stories IMO.

Yeah, I really don't think S3 was as bad as people made it out to be. There were events that happened that I didn't like, but the episodes themselves were good.
