Meme Answers and More
Feb. 27th, 2008 03:13 pmFirst things first, ICON, first icon I made in PSP. I'm not gonna mention how many tutorials I shifted through to get a start in PSP. It's taking a bit to get used to, but it makes some really awesome icons.
Second, I'm posting the answers to the movie meme.
1. Cat Ballou ('70s western starring Jane Fonda, it's fucking awesome, WATCH IT) - guessed by no-one.
2. Soapdish - guessed by
nina_ds
3. America's Sweethearts - guessed by no-one.
4. Ocean's Eleven - guessed by
croc_rocketfan
5. Willow - guessed by
velvet_midnight
(Quote I was also tempted to use for #5:
A: What are you looking at?
B: Your leg. I'd like to break it.)
6. 10 Things I Hate About You - guessed by
tardisdoll
7. The Goonies - Guessed By NO-ONE
8. Head Over Heels - guessed by
autumn_whispers (Heh, stupid movie, but I find it oh so funny)
9. Dogma - guessed by
rasah
10. In & Out - guessed by no-one (I love Kevin Kline, don't know a film of his I hate, but I ADORE this one. He's also in Soapdish)
11. My Cousin Vinny - guessed by no-one
12. The 'Burbs - The name of the movie wasn't guessed, but
autumn_whispers was correct in guessing Tom Hanks was the star
13. The Incredibles - guessed by
boxseat (One of the best quotes in that film!)
14. The Princess Bride - guessed by
rasah
15. The Cutting Edge - guessed by
rasah
:D
And third, since I outed myself as an insane big cat lover yesterday, I thought maybe I'd share some reasons why...
(In order or grown size)
1. Tiger cubs
Cute fact: If you were to shave their hair off, their stripes go right down to the skin.

2. Lion cubs
Interesting fact: Lionesses are the ones that do the work, most of, in prides (hunting and looking after cubs)

(Look at that little belly! And lion cubs are spotted when they're born, but just for a few months or less)
3. Jaguar cubs
Fact: The jaguar is the largest cat in the Americas and the third largest in the world!

(How to spot the difference between jaguars and leopards? Besides being stockier in build, jaguars' spots have spots within the spots (first photo), while leopards do not)
4. Leopard cubs
Typically, when referring to big cats, it refers to tigers, lions, jaguars and leopards only because they are part of the genus Panthera and they're the only ones with the ability to roar, and this genus excludes the snow leopard and the clouded leopard.

And...........#5. LOOK HOW CUTE THEY ALL ARE:

(3 tiger, 2 lion and 1 jaguar cub)
That concludes are lesson :P

Date: 2008-02-27 09:53 pm (UTC)So, font of feline facts, are the "lesser" leopards more closely related to cheetahs (cutest cubs evah!)?

Date: 2008-02-27 11:01 pm (UTC)From what I've read or whatever, the leopard may be more closely related to the lion.

Date: 2008-02-29 10:12 am (UTC)Also, MUCH MUCH LOVE FOR THE PICTURES. I have a thing for big cats as well. When I was younger, I loved them so much that I wanted to work in a zoo or a sanctuary. CUTENESS!
