Alright, I've now seen Torchwood up through "Reset". OH.
RHYS! Oh I love him so much. I love how he loves Gwen, and no matter what's happening between Gwen and Jack, I love seeing how much she does love Rhys.
Tosh/Owen fucking hurts, you guys. "Adam" especially sort of broke me. GAH. WHY DO I LIKE THEM? MAKE IT STOP. Burn Gorman, you are awesome. Burn and Naoko Mori work off each other wonderfully.
I believe I liked that moment in "Meat", depicted in icon, more than I probably should have. Oh man, when he just grabs her hand...
You know, maybe I shouldn't be as into the spoilers as I am, maybe than Owen's "death" in "Reset" would have probably been be more poignant.
Ianto's pretty good for reactions, but what else? You guys! I'm just not feeling him, or Ianto/Jack.
Why does everyone HAVE to die? I just, come on!
What else is there?
OH YEAH, MY MARTHA. Gorgeous and fantastic. I really love her hair and her professional look, and she's a Doctor and has no regrets and doesn't really miss the Doctor and she's wonderfully confident. And she's a geek, yes? Rock on.
And you know, I really liked Tommy in "To the Last Man", but it didn't hit me how sad his going back was until Tosh went back (in his mind, what? Didn't really follow) and it was like he didn't recognize her and then he said "Goodbye" and he just looked at her and it was so...final and sad in how he said it. That hurt.
You know what I've truly noticed with these episodes? They're not all over the place like S1, there seems to be, probably or hopefully, an arc. Which is fantastic and something they definitely needed last season.
That was random.
I'll probably watch the next two episodes tonight and then either have a little break or just continue tomorrow.

Nope. Me either. I was just discussing this with someone else today. He's so...bland. And he and Jack have no chemistry. And I don't even get why people think he's cute - he's got that infantile, unformed look that Ryan Philippe and Hayden Christensen have. They make John Simm look downright adult, and I used to think he was incredibly juvenile looking!
The Owen/Tosh line really hurts because it makes Tosh so pathetic. I know that there are women like that? But to have an Asian woman in that role does tread on some very dangerous ground. Plus, I just do not want Tosh being a doormat, even an honest doormat.

Date: 2008-03-26 04:10 am (UTC)It's really sad that Ianto/Jack has no chemistry because my eyes and mind wonder, and JB has loads more chemistry with the girls and Owen, but that could be because Burn is such a fantastic actor.
It does hurt to see Tosh in that position, in many ways. And I sometimes wish she wasn't.
