Just a little more...
Apr. 5th, 2008 01:16 pmJust some more talk about the finale of Torchwood...
I made the mistake of trying to watch the last 20 minutes of the episode this morning. Yeah, still sobbing my eyes out by the end.
This time it was Tosh's last video that really did my in.
Her "wouldn't miss this for the world", that always hurts, and then her last "I hope I did good", OMFG, that fucking hurt like no other.
And I watched the declassified, OH Burn, OH Naoko. I've sadly gotten (rightly) the impression that it was in no way Naoko's or even Burn's decision to leave. I know it wasn't Naoko's, as I read an interview she did about Tosh being gone and she said when she was told that she was shocked, so my streak of favorite characters being written out by the crappy PTB is still going strong.
But I have a strong love for Naoko right now after reading that interview because I really loved hearing her say how she didn't like Tosh mooning over Owen and how she wished she'd (Toshiko) would snap out of it. I liked hearing her talk about how she wanted to play Tosh just right and not as some creepy stalker after Owen.
And while I liked the idea of Owen/Tosh (it was the angst, man!), I was sort of happy to hear her say she didn't want to see them together and that they were better off friends, because ultimately, she's right.
And I always love hearing how actors care for their characters.
Here is the interview I'm referring to, in case you're interested.
I still have nothing else I can say about the episode. I just can't think about anything else that happened.
I promise to do that meme post soon :D
