Oh you guys, you know I love you, BUT I'M SO FRAKKING TERRIBLE WITH BIRTHDAYS, I CAN'T KEEP UP.

[livejournal.com profile] prchung, you just have a recent birthday, yes?

And I'm being told today is also [livejournal.com profile] quiet_fractures's and [livejournal.com profile] speckleberry's birthdays.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Damn, I'm trying to keep a better eye on what LJ reminds me. I swear.

*loves you all* *bounces a little*

I'm in such a giddy mood from last night's Doctor Who! EEEEEEEE.

Apparently it is terrible and wrong and evil of RTD and co. to have Martha with Tom Milligan.

Which, okay, it is messed up, and convenient and irksome to think that Martha has to be engaged to show how fully over the Doctor she is. *rolls eyes*

BUT, Martha is a very sensible woman, she did leave the Doctor of her own free will, that yes, it's a little messed up that she seeked out Tom and they started a relationship, but they obviously fell in love. Martha's not going to marry the guy for shits and giggles. And yes, Tom is obviously different because of the year that didn't happen, but still, she fell for this Tom, and as was pointed out on the thread this is in answer to, she wasn't really that taken with TLotTL!Tom.

Besides, what's worse? Being with a guy you meet in the year that never was or being with a guy that's a dead ringer for your dead boyfriend (the questionably canon Jake/Mickey)?

*shrugs* Maybe I'm biased, I'm just happy, would have been either way, because Martha's happy. And that's all that matters, what contents the character. SO *sticks out tongue*

Heh, it'd be too easy, yeah?

Oh crap, I need to get a hold of the confidential. Need to see more Freema, 'cause she's too adorable.

Really? Why?

I agree with that, but still. I agree, it's certainly more satisfying than Jake/Mickey - or Jackie/Pete, for that matter, although I love Jackie/Pete despite my feeling that it's kind of creepy.

Yeah *nods* The real problem is that RTD most certainly didn't see any problems with the pairing, even if there are slight ones. But you're right, it certainly doesn't leave a foul taste in my mouth like Jake/Mickey or Jackie/Pete.

*blinks* People have a problem with Martha/Tom? Oh, fandom. She's clearly happy, so what's the problem?

See, that's what I'm stuck on. She's happy. And not everyone has a problem, but there are quite a few that are quite disappointed, mostly with the fact that she's engaged, period.
