*waves* Hey you guys. I just wanted to update with just a few of my thoughts on two events.

It's fun watching the men's gymnastics and all (the MUSCLES), but our guys haven't been the best for a while. And with the Hamm twins out, these boys gotta really step it up.

BUT SASHA, his pommel horse routine was fantastic, he was robbed with the score he got, I tells ya.

I mentioned this to someone, my dad has been involved with the world of gymnastics for nearly 40 years. He competed with his twin brother in high school, won competitions, won a scholarship, he's helped coach and now he judges every year for state and national championships (for boys). When he watched Alexander Artemev do his pommel horse routine, he actually said that the guy pulled stuff off that my dad had never seen before!

I hope he doesn't choke. DO WELL SASHA!! And the rest of the team.

But truthfully, I follow the girls more. But watching them tonight was hard. My heart stopped for the girls on the uneven bars. And I still watch the balance beam with one eye open.

But I'm so pulling for our girls to do well. I wanna remember some team like I remember the '96 Atlanta girls. The Magnificent Seven (not my name for 'em).

Weird fact my dad told me (that is very possibly not fact): Pound for pound, men gymnasts are the strongest men in the world. Again, very possibly not a fact, but damn if they don't have some arms on them.

God, I've been obsessed with watching swimming since '96. I learned how to fucking swim watching these guys at the Olympics.

So, I love watching some of our guys and gals do well. Some of the women are not doing as well as expected *coughKatieHoffcough*, but some are. I love Natalie Coughlin, so I'm definitely pulling for her.

And Michael. I never really doubt him. I've seen a couple commercial spots and promos of Cullen Jones and he's adorable and awesome and fast. I'm very disappointed with Brendan Hansen. And I kind of want to shave Ryan Lochte's hair off.

But really, I'm stuck more with HOW MUCH I HATE THE COMMENTATORS FOR SWIMMING. I WANT THEM TO SHUT UP. Just tell me who's swimming, and who's in the lead. STOP WITH YOUR BULLSHIT PLEASE.

And thank you.

That's it. Did anyone else forget how many swimming events there are? I always forget they TAKE FOREVER.

OH and how cool was it that the USA's first medals where in women's individual sabre, and we swept up the gold, silver AND bronze? Pretty frickin' sweet!

Heh, when I was little, I loved the balance beam (when it was like, an inch from the ground, heh), but now, it just looks so dangerous!

I don't understand why the commentators seem to think the Chinese people are set to boo against anything not Chinese.

Those screeches totally startled me. I was like OMG DOES IT HURT? And then the one won and screeched her lungs out and I was o...kay. Yikes.
