Good day of swimming, wasn't it? My mind is busy with the gymnastics results.



WE WENT 1-2!!!!!! WAY TO GO NASTIA!! Oh my goodness, you were absolutely fantastic and brilliant, even if you were totally underscored on the vault, you won gold, you beat your world champion teammate for the gold.

And Shawn! Awesome for the silver.

I'm so effing proud of both of them.

I will admit it does make the silver in team seem more bittersweet, because watching them on the beam again and the floor, it was very obvious again how much Alicia's falls affected them the other night.

But they were as near to perfect as possible and it was beautiful and OH again, my heart is so full and proud!!

And a full 180, I felt bad for the Chinese gymnast who fell on the vault, whose poor nerves were probably shot the rest of the rotations.

And also, as much as Bela annoys me with his talk, his reactions to the girls' routines are adorable.

And...off to frickin' bed.

I saw this and it was awesome! My brother was saying something about how he didn't the US was very good on the floor, and then they went and did brilliantly. It was great to see.

Well, we made mistakes on the floor during the team finals, but they NAILED it last night. It was fantastic.
