OMG I'M MAKING A FANDOM RELATED POST.

Ahem, yes. Well, last night, midnight, I was bored, no Olympics to watch that I wanted to so I thought I'd watch Stargate Atlantis so I could mourn the show I used to love so fucking much.

This was the first new episode of SGA I've watched since....first half of S4? Haven't been interested, but bitterly disappointed with it and I can't like a show that treats my favorite character/actress like shit.

But anyway, I was interested in this episode and I may or may not have started crying upon the conclusion of the episode.

1.) "Before I Sleep" was on yesterday, just hours before, and it's not only one of the best episodes, IMHO, but one of my favorites and possibly my favorite Elizabeth episode.

2.) To watch "The Ghost in the Machine" after this, well, I don't see my show in it anymore and it just fucking sucked.

3.) I bet you anything that this was the exact script that they showed to Torri. Tweaked it after so that they could explain why it wasn't Torri who turned up in a body, but I bet you all the money I have (HAHAHA) that this was what they gave her.

I hope she added a fuck you when she turned it down. Because first of all, right there within the episode, they could have had a reason to bring Elizabeth/Torri back to the show, and I honestly don't know why Torri would say no to that unless they had severely burned her (which I'm not doubting). But I have no faith in these PTB anymore, so I truly believe that this episode, with this ending, was the one presented to her.

I can't go on anymore, SGA is not the show for me anymore, what the fuck ever. I'm more pissed about it than I thought I would be. I applaud the writer (was I right in hearing Carl Binder wrote this one?!) for allowing John/Joe and Rodney/David some emotion over it being Elizabeth or not, especially Rodney wanting to fix what he started, awww.

But I just...argh. I've never had a show fucking PISS ME OFF like this one has just done over the past two years. For fuck's sake, OVER TWO FUCKING YEARS.

GAH, okay, I'm done.

Um...do not read that if you watch and enjoy the show currently. I REPEAT, do not read that if you watch and enjoy the show currently. Seriously.

With no intention of watching the episode, I completely agree with everything you've said up above. I can see Carl Binder doing that - he is the one who has written all the best Elizabeth episodes, including Before I Sleep (which will always be my favourite). I haven't watched an SGA episode since 'Sunday', and I don't plan on ever doing so again, not after all the show-runners have done to something I used to enjoy.

also: http://saveelizabethweir.com - we are still alive, even if we have no real purpose left.

I knew this wouldn't be a show I enjoyed anymore after I watched "Sunday". It's one thing for change, but when you get rid of characters/actors for no reason other than to change things up, when it makes no sense plot-wise and everything...I don't know, it's just not good to me.

Thanks for the link :D

Thank you for this. I'm so freaking disappointed in Atlantis that I stopped watching early in Season 4 and literally walk out of the room whenever my brother watches an episode. I loved the first few seasons so much (and still do, which is why I keep so many SGA comms on my flist) but it doesn't even resemble the show I fell for.

I just, agree with everything here 150%. It's nice to know I'm not alone in my anger.

:D Yeah, my dad still watches, but I pretty much refuse to. Yeah, I love most of the first 3 seasons, but from there...maybe I made a mistake in really liking someone not on "the team". You're right, it's not the show I love anymore because it's just not the same.

It's nice to know I'm not along in my anger :)

OH there was! There was, even if it wasn't Torri!Elizabeth, the actress was very good. There was one particular part that got to my Sparky heart ;)

But the rest of the rant stands, ahem. :D
