Doctor Who Drabble

I've never written Doctor Who before because, well, I'm American and I had no idea where I could even begin.  But this popped into my head and I couldn't resist.  Enjoy.

Title: I Remember

Characters: Nine, I'll include Rose since he's thinking about her.

Spoilers: "The Parting of the Ways"
Summary: But she wanted me safe, so it’s on her own head.
Notes: A small drabble (104 words to be exact, I couldn't narrow it) about what could have been in the 9th Doctor's head at the end of PoTW.  

     She doesn't remember and I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I laugh. And I look at her, and nothing's wrong. She's alive, she's okay, and she’s fantastic.

     I'm dying and I hate her at that moment. No, I hate myself at that moment. I let myself underestimate one silly little human and now I die.

     I'm going to change and she's lost. She's not ready for this, I didn't prepare her for this, and now, now I'm uncertain. I'm dying and she's getting the raw end of the deal.

     But she wanted me safe, so it’s on her own head.

     “Rose Tyler.”
