BWAH, I finally watched BSG. I need a different icon since there will NEVER EVER BE CELEBRATING EVER AGAIN ON THIS SHOW. I think they're done with any sort of happiness. This isn't a spoiler, I think we figured this out before Friday's episode.

1. I loved that Ellen was the fifth and "final" cylon. Loved it, there was something very "right" about it. And the direction that "Earth" is taking is sort of fascinating, I'm looking forward to that.

2. WOAH DEE. I totally thought they were unsubtly showing us that she was the fifth cylon, like when she found that stuff buried in the sand and when she looked at her childhood photo, I figured like Tyrol she "remembered" but NO, she lost all freakin' hope and shot herself. It was terribly sad to see Lee slowly erase and lower the survivor number.

That was like all I sort of cared about. Kara's discovery is mildly interesting but she somehow burned our bridge a while ago. I don't know, I am looking forward, though, to what else there is and how they wrap this up.

OH, and I thought I'd run it by you guys that I am totally unspoiled and like pretty much all of you, would like to remain that way. :D

Hey!

Yeah, I pretty much agree with you.

1. Yes - I think this was a great choice. Not a central character, exactly, but one for whom it makes sense, so that we (I) don't feel cheated.

2. I still haven't quite figured that one out. I keep thinking I missed something, but I watched that section twice, and at the moment I feel like it's a slightly gratuitous way to get her out of Lee's way, and I resent that narratively, and for the character. But we'll see.

3. That was more confirmation than revelation, I think! Though well-played on Katee Sackhoff's part.

2. While yes, it does seem a way to get her out of Lee's life, it wasn't needed, she was technically already out of Lee's life. But she's someone the audience has known and someone that could have possibly been used as a catalyst to move the story along, which still stings. I don't know. I've read some posts that seem to do a really good job of rationalizing it. Then again, those are ones that could see this coming, I hadn't one clue that she would shot herself, maybe I was in denial.

At the same time, her death deeply rubs me the wrong way.

3. Yes, Katee does a good job with the character, I've just had issues with Kara since the beginning of S2.

I think anyone revealed could have had an "I KNEW IT" moment. There's just something I like about it being Ellen. I thought it would be later as well, but the previews seem to confirm that yes, Ellen's the fifth and final.

Yeah, I'm still at a loss at Dee's death. While I wasn't the biggest fan of her direction in the show, but I've always adored Dee so this definitely stings.
