Here is a very good reason that Saturday's Doctor Who will scare the crap out of me.  The episode "The Satan's Pit" (right?) is the conclusion of a two-parter wherein the first part was very creepy.

Okay, from last Saturday's episode, this scared me half to death when it popped up.  I have a very low tolerance for scary things, I don't watch scary movies.  The only one that I have really watched, and have enjoyed to this day is "The Poltergeist" (which I stand by when I say it's not a scary movie), which I suggest to everyone.

Now, why exactly is that thing scary to me.  One reason.  The Lord of Darkness.  It's some monster something from a movie that 99% of the people who read this will not know.  It's a movie from 1985 by Ridley Scott starring Tom Cruise when he was very young, and sane, and Mia Sara called Legend.  The Lord of Darkness is this scary, tall and red beast with horns.  I saw this movie when I was young and have pretty much hated it all my life.  The Lord takes Tom's character's(Jack) love from him and tries to marry her while also trying to destroy daylight.

That thing was the scary thing I ever watched when I was little and it stuck with me.

So, any big red beast thing with horns will always scare me.  Especially when they pop out of nowhere.

So, there's that.

Oh yeah, I finally heard from my sister while she's in South Africa.  It's her first time out of the US and she was nervous but she seems to be getting over it.  She's there with a few fellow teachers to study the schools and how they teach over there.  It sounded really fasinating from what she told me.  Soon they'll be in Johannesburg and then in their last week, they travel to Cape Town and take a safari and visit Table Mountain.  I wish I were there too.
