Hey you guys. I've been meaning to post but I haven't really been in the best of moods this week.

First of all, all my Australians, how are you? I was heartbroken to hear the details of those fires suffered. Horrible, horrible situation. My heart's with you guys. *HUGS*

I also just found out that a very old friend of our family (old as in years known, not really age) was just diagnosed with breast cancer. She acted fast, a double mastectomy, and she'll be getting chemo as well. My mom says she's in good spirits though, which is great to hear.

It sucks, though. I wish I could do more than just donate money (which I don't have!). I remember how fast we lost my aunt Laura when her breast cancer recurred. I hate it.

Gah, I just needed an emo post I guess.

This past year we lost my grandmother to cancer and it was tough.
But the fact that she acted so fast and is hopeful portends well.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend — I had a 32-year-old cousin have a mastectomy this week. It can come on shockingly fast (she has some other issues that will accelerate tumor growth, but still…). And then I talked to a woman this morning who lost a godson in the Buffalo plane crash. Sometimes it just seems like everything happens at once!
