And also, I don't have any personal things happening. So....
This icon has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. But it's pretty and I'm totally gonna watch it again. Oh Damian.
- Who else loves watching Rachel Maddow? I just love her commentary and she seems to be one of the only commentators I find myself agreeing with more than not. I can't think of anytime recently I haven't, actually.
- Damages finale tomorrow!! It's exciting because it's an over-sized episode and there's a lot of shit that's gonna go down and I can't really wait :D
- I've gotten really, really into Chuck. It's a little creepy, because I don't know how that happened. I've adored the show since it premiered, I have, but I've recently found myself looking for fic and that's NEVER GOOD FOR ME.
- Life will be renewed, right? THEY CANNOT END THE SHOW WHEN REESE AND CREWS AREN'T PARTNERING (on cases, people). I haven't heard much about a cancellation, but I haven't heard a lot of good news about their ratings. PROBABLY BECAUSE THOSE FUCKS AT NBC PUT IT UP AGAINST LOST.
- Speaking of Lost, I've been really interested in this season, but I'm hitting that block I've been hitting since S2, that frustration in knowing too little and having too much mystery that drives me so insane I stop watching for a little while. And then get sucked back in. Fucker.
- I'm FINALLY caught up on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (too long, TSCC), which I've been behind since it came back after it's hiatus. AND WOW. That's it, I can only really say that since it first started I've been really blown away but the stories and I'm still in awe of this show.
Any petition to ensure this show is not canceled, considered it signed :)
And you might see me post some icons from the show soon as it may or may not have been inspiring. It's a pretty show!
- So, after I finish Ashes to Ashes and Being Human AND catch up on Law and Order: UK, I'm thinking of some American shows to watch this summer. Maybe The West Wing? That's been trying to catch my attention for a long time now. :D
And unfortunately to end on a sad note, I'm still heartsick over the loss of Andy Hallett. R.I.P.

She's the second hour of the only two hours of TV I make sure I catch - Countdown, then Rachel Maddow. I'm so glad she got her own show – the only problem is that we don't have as much of that wonderful Olbermann/Maddow interaction that we used to. She occasionally gets on my nerves with the cutesiness, but it's like Keith Olbermann's Bill O'Reilly taunting — I don't care for it, but it clearly gives him so much pleasure, I enjoy it vicariously!
Oh, and The West Wing? The first three years are probably the best television ever. And to show you how incestuous it all is… Aaron Sorkin's previous show, where he really honed his dialogue, was Sports Night, based on the days of Keith Olbermann and Dan Patrick on ESPN; now, Sorkin is about to make a new show about a cable news show not unlike Countdown, and people are already trying to work out casting. I know you're a Gilmore Girls fan, and right now, Lauren Graham is the favourite for Rachel. I would've thought Sarah Paulson, but she's on another show right now!

Date: 2009-04-12 05:18 pm (UTC)Fascinating! Aaron Sorkin tends to like basing characters on real people doesn't he? I've heard several characters on The West Wing are based on real people as well.
OH, I'd love to have Lauren Graham back on TV. And that really really sounds like a show I'd check out :)
