What happened?

There was a war. And we lost.

A war with who?… What about your people?
THE DOCTOR
I'm a Time Lord. I'm the last of the Time Lords. They're all gone. I'm the only survivor. I'm left travelling on my own because there's no one else.
ROSE
There's me...
THE DOCTOR
You've seen how dangerous it is. Do you want to go home?
ROSE
I don't know. I want... Oh! Can you smell chips?
THE DOCTOR
Yeah. Yeah!
ROSE
I want chips.
THE DOCTOR
Me too.
ROSE
Right then, before you get me back in that box, chips it is, and you can pay.
THE DOCTOR
No money.
ROSE
What sort of date are you? Come on then, tightwad, chips are on me. We've only got five billion years before the shops close...

Well done!! That's one of my favorite scenes! So much so that I did that very same final scene for this challenge. lol!! I was going to post it last night, but got busy. So I hope you don't mind that I'll be posting another one (probably tonight).. just goes to show how awesome that last scene is!

I love this scene. The "turn of the earth" scene and their walk and talk really sold me, but this was where I felt there was more than just insane chemistry between them, but real depth. *sigh* I miss that.

Pretty CGI is pretty. Although, after 'The Runaway Bride', I can't see that big rock sailing past the window without thinking that it's the Isle of Wight.
I thought 'The End of the World' was such beautifully structured episode; how it used the destruction of the Earth to communicate the enormity of the Doctor's revelation at the end; Rose trying to get to grips with everything that's going on and thinking she could as long as she can still have chips. So sweet! I like how "there's me" was paralleled in 'Dalek'. And Christopher Eccleston's and Billie Piper's smiles and laughter are gorgeous.
This scene and the one when Ten talks about Gallifrey in Gridlock are just magical.

I'm always awed by the pretty of this episode. It's really wonderful. It's not wonder why this episode I consider to be one of my absolute favorites.
