Doctor Who-Question

Okay, does the fact that I'm not a big fan of Ten and that I absolutely love Nine have to be connected?

I adore Nine and S1 and everything there.

I don't like Ten because of how he handles things, how be behaves with others and Rose, his voice, his actions, when he shouts and countless other little things that just bug me.

Can the fact that I don't like Ten just be because I don't like Ten?

Because I was completely willing to accept him and like him with open arms. Loved him in the Children in Need special, he was alright in "The Christmas Invasion", I enjoyed him in some of S2, in fact, he didn't lose me till "Rise of the Cybermen". So...that's it.

(Doctor Who) No, I can't...

...let it go. NEVER, I WILL NEVER GET OVER IT. So, I had it in my head to compare Rose in "The Parting of the Ways" and "Doomsday". Her two big speeches:

ROSE [quietly]
But it was... it was a better life. And I - I don't mean all the travelling and... seeing aliens and spaceships and things - that don't matter. The Doctor showed me a better way of living your life.

[She meets their eyes, speaking earnestly]

ROSE [to Mickey]
You know, he showed you too.

[Mickey does not reply]

ROSE [passionately]
That you don't just give up. You don't just let things happen. You make a stand. You say no. You have the guts to do what's right when everyone else just runs away, and I just can't--

DD:
ROSE (voice trembling with suppressed tears as she speaks in soft tones)
I've had a life with you for nineteen years. But then I met the Doctor and... all the things I've seen him do for me. For you. For all of us. For the whole... stupid planet and every planet out there. He does it alone, mum.

Behind her, the Doctor is watching her with terrible sadness in his eyes as he silently takes a button on a chain out of his pocket.

ROSE
But not anymore.

She backs away from Jackie, towards the Doctor.

ROSE
'Cos now he's got me.


What happened to her? Where was my Rose of season 1? People try to excuse her by saying she's a teenager and she's human, so shouldn't she have grown?

*misses S1 Rose liek woah*

Also, when did "She's/He's so human" become an excuse for a person's behavior? Rose's regression was to make me like her more? She should have grown and been this amazing, strong woman, but I hardly saw her. I saw a girl that couldn't stand to be away from her boyfriend. And I didn't like her so much.

I loved S1 Rose, I wish she could have stuck around longer than she did. I didn't care that she had flaws, she acknowledged them and worked on it, realized that she was treating her family like crap. How many times did Rose and Ten get told off in S2 and they just turned their backs on it?

*sigh* Okay, really? I'm done, this just came up when I was responding to a comment earlier. So, I'm eagerly looking forward to S3, like a good little hopeful pessimist.
