72 Doctor Who Icons

About 1/3 of these icons sat on my computer for a few weeks now, so there's that.  Also, the ones of Rose from "Army of Ghosts" are only from about 2 scenes, so expect some more of her from that particular episode.

I have to say, when I was re-watching "The Unquiet Dead" to get caps, I sort of fell in love with it.  It's a funny episode, as nina_ds pointed out to me and it's really good, it'll probably never trump my love of "The End of the World", but it'll get pretty damn close.  :)  Thought I'd share that.

As usual, these are lovely. One thing that always hits me about CE, particularly as the Doctor, is that you can always see him thinking. His mind is never still, and you can see that especially in 2, 6, 11, 12, 17, 19, 22, 26, 28, 31, 34, 35, 37, 38, 39, 41, 42, 45, and 48. I listed them all because it's so striking. Except when he's really grinning (and sometimes even then), you can see the wheels turning. That's a very rare thing for an actor to be able to do.

Glad you like! Yeah, his mind never rests. And he's so beautiful, I mean, I knew he was hot, but when I was capping these episodes, I just noticed how beautiful he is and it's wonderful to icon him, even if they don't turn out the way I want. I love that man to itty bitty pieces. :)

He's not classically handsome, but I would agree, he's better than that. He's beautiful. For me, pretty is boring, but beautiful means strength and uniqueness (okay, okay, his entire family looks like him, but the look is "Eccles" - tangent, since his name is actually Eccleston, his family must have lived in the same village for about a millennium - no wonder he moved back from London!). He's always going to be beautiful because of the bone structure and the eyes.

Ears? I just don't find 'em an issue!

His cheekbones, god he's so many things, gorgeous, beautiful, I find him handsome, I think he's charming, he's sexy and hot and so many wonderful things that it's a shame people didn't/don't gush about him like they do about David Tennant. I mean, I will admit, David is very cute, I've seen recent pics of him and just go "Awww", but he doesn't spark that same feeling in me that CE does.

And I love his ears. I'm glad I don't hear much about his nose though because seriously? DT's ain't so small, it's thin when you look head on, but from the side? Yeah.

But I agree with you about CE and the lack of squee. Believe me, if the two of them walked into a room, DT would not get a look in from me. He's okay, he's cute (which some people really prefer, and that's okay), but I don't find him sexy in the least. Whereas CE is incredibly sexy, and it has a lot more to do with him than his looks. Speaking of which, have you seen this video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=aNKKmVBugRg)?

And I love his ears.

I'm quite fond of them myself. Can't help but think they give something to hold onto. ;-)

Seriously! :-) He's also got one slightly lazy eye, and when he tries to do serious, sometimes, he goes cross-eyed. It's not entirely effective! But he's the type I might find attractive if I felt more coming from him, so sometimes I feel incredibly frustrated by him.

And anyone who can pull off this costume ::points to icon:: and actually be sexy and threatening and wounded at the same time is doing something right.

Guh, CE. I should do an entire post just about him, but I don't know what I would say that I haven't shared with everyone already. Although, I think most of what I've said has been in conversations with you. :)

Re: his ears. I would have the tendency to tug on them probably, just for fun, or if I were mean make some Dumbo jokes, completely affectionately of course.

Of course! I guess I'm so used to them, they don't bother me at all. I like strong features (if you notice David Krumholtz's eyebrows and nose, that's not a surprise, surely!).

Yep. They're all from the ending of Death and the Compass. I have been playing with new screencapping/photo-uploading software, so I have a gallery here (http://pics.livejournal.com/nina_ds/gallery/0001bt04). You can see that he plays two characters (actually three, but the third is only ever seen in shadow). If you're wondering what that stuff is on his face, particularly in #3, it's glue from a mask.

Have you tried giving it a few minutes to load? Depending on the demand, it can take a while sometimes.

What's the beginning footage from, with the orange I think? Do you know?

It's from Clocking Off. Jim is probably the most "normal", average guy he's ever played. I'm surprised they didn't show anything from the sex scene in that, although it is rather funny because they're on the floor and keep getting interrupted by her children wanting a drink of water, etc.

The pics are from a film, Death and the Compass, based on the Borges short story. The end sequence is, however, quite theatrical (including the b&w flashback). They do some funky things to his voice which kind of hurt to hear, but I love the cut of the costume, even if the colour is a little...vivid.

He was indeed a fantastic Doctor. The only one I've ever truly loved. And while the dead sexy didn't hurt, it was more about the soul.

I wish that restaurant scene in Boomtown weren't shot through the glass (for icon purposes, it was amazing in the episode). Such an amazing set of emotions shown there. Ah, well. I'll have to go watch it again... =)

nina_ds - I totally agree with you. It's a very rare thing to see an actor so completely disappear into a role. Oh - these icons are BRILLIANT. I'll credit of course - I took a ton of them (about sixteen total) - and YAY on the Rose love!!!!

Just in reading your discussion re CE I dunno why but the dynamic between Rose and 9 was so much better and I could watch those eps over and over again. With Series 2 I don't think its the same
