I said these were for tomorrow, but I got my laptop online, so I decided to post them now!

63 of Doctor(9), lots of Rose of course, and plenty of Doctor(9)/Rose from "Father's Day"

Also, an extra with baby!Rose from this episode for nina_ds.

So I've noticed people complaining about commenting and crediting when taking caps, and even though these are icons, I'd thought I'd throw my word in.  I like comments, they are lovely and when I post icons I like them, not for ego stroking, but so I know what people like, the crops, coloring and composition.  They are not necessary.  BUT, I would really like credit for my icons.  Especially since I'm putting extra work into them by capping the episodes myself, it takes time and effort and I'm putting a lot of work into these.  That's all I have to say, and I'm not attacking anyone, it's just some posts I've seen around and I had an opinion on it and I'm sharing it.  Go ahead and skip this little part, go on to the icons!

Wow, I love these. I took quite a few, mostly of Rose, and I will be using with credit. I really like the handholding closeups, particularly number 30, because their hands are just touching and... *melt* I'm weak for that, I suppose.

Ha! That's very cute. Thank you! I couldn't help thinking, "Are you my mummy?" I also like little!Rose, whom we don't see enough of. That little girl had a nice screen presence.

Some of these capture favourite emotional moments that I've not seen in icons before, like 24, 40, and 42.

But 19 & 20 just take my breath away - that's a great scene, and a lot of people have made icons, but 19 especially, the cropping here is fantastic. 3 and 61, too, are quite striking.

I like the animation a lot. They have such beautiful hands (30 especially). I like, especially, that his hands are large and long and elegant, but look like working hands.

I'm glad you like all those icons! Sometimes it's really hard to icon episodes that people haven't seen a hundred times, and the cropping is the hardest part! I'm glad you think they look good!

I completely agree about his hands, when I capped that scene, I wanted to make all the caps with their hands into icons because I love his hands.

Snagged loads! Will definitely credit. Father's Day is still one of my favourite episodes. I lost my father at a young age like Rose did, and so it really hits me where I live. Beautiful icons. <3

Ah, there it is. :) As for all the problems outlined in your main entry above, please see the front page of my other LJ, lanthirel, for some links to just these sort of things and how to deal with them, from the wonderful icon maker, eyesthatslay. She makes a lot of non-fannish and also Buffy-related icons, and had had a lot of people stealing her work, and also hotlinking to it. The two posts that my userinfo entries link to are open posts by her, and she stated that anyone could link to them for the info. She had to break the hotlinkers by taking down and re-naming and reloading her icons, making her icon LJ friends-only, and finally placing a tiny, tiny brush with the text "made by eyesthatslay" on her icons.
