#21 is very pretty (as are they all). Like the ghostbusting!doctor in #10 too. Oh god, I just glanced at #26 and was like '...why is Turlough sat with Jack?' Him and Nine don't even look vaguely like each other. *headdesk* Too much Five.

Oh, I'm glad you like! I'm a bit fond of 21 myself :). Nine=Turlough? Hmmm...oh, Turlough as one of Nine's companions would have been awesome, I think, or maybe one of Ten's. But yeah, Nine and Turlough really don't look anything at all a like. It's okay. ;)

Turlough as one of Nine's companions would have been awesome, I think, or maybe one of Ten's Heh yeah, he really would. I'd've loved to hear the dialogue between him and Nine. (Don't suppose you know of any fics with them both in?)

Unfortuately no (fics), I haven't been able to read fics from before Nine's series, and not really any fics with past companions. When I've seen more from the other Doctors, I might just venture into that.

I still can't believe I have a 3rd Doctor icon, and I still haven't seen one of his episodes!

I kept seeing that icon around, and I had no idea it was Three until I looked at your userpic page! =S
The only episodes other than 9&10 i've seen are 5, and I'm sorry to say that I started watching them because i'd been reading Five/Turlough fanfic (it was v. good fanfic though).
I think i'm goingto have a look for fics with 9 & Turlough in, but I doubt that, if there even are any, there'll be any that aren't shippy.

Same here, well, not regarding the fic, although I have an arc of the 4th's downloaded, I'll watch that tonight. I don't know why the 5th was the first old Doctor I've seen, I think he was the first recommended to me.

Re: the icon, it amused me so, and I have no idea about the context.

I got a big pile of 5 recs, so I staretd on them.

Oh, just watched The End of the Earth. It's lovely, especially liked the bit when tree-woman(can't remember her name) was saying about her knowing where his from and he was crying. Awwww. And the bit where he's concentrating before running under the giant fan thing, is that the same music as the beach scene in doomsday?

Sort of, the base of the song, with the woman singing or whatever, is the same. It's probably my favorite episode of season one, along with "The Unquiet Dead", my tastes are so weird.

I relaly like that music, hope the soundtrack thing comes out soon. "The Unquiet Dead" was good too, bit freaky, but the historical ones are good.

Doctor Who does pretty well with their music. Actually "The Empty Child", for me, probably ranks ahead of "The Unquiet Dead". But it doesn't really matter because I can re-watch them all! (Except for "Boom Town", I've pretty much had to force myself to watch that one multiple times)

I can hardly remember Boom Town =S Or much of the others, actually, as I haven't seen them since they aired. I could get the dvds I suppose, but...too expensive

I apologize for butting in, but [livejournal.com profile] vandonovan has a Nine/Turlough WIP. I wish he'd finish it, because it was shaping up well!

Love #2. A lot. Great expressions on 7, 8, 21, 24, and 32 (I love that vulnerable moment just before his "don't fuck with me" face falls into place, and you catch it right at that moment). And the hope and fear together in 29 and 30 is almost too much, y'know?

Strangely, though, other than 2, 11 may be my favourite sheerly on abstract composition.

Oh, thank you very much! I'm glad you liked all those. #2 was so spur of the moment, I don't even know where the idea came from, so I'm glad that's enjoyed! 29/30 was hard to icon, but I had to. That look on his face when he sees the Dalek ships is just, it's right there, I don't have to explain. Oh, my poor Nine.

Oh, I know. The subtle expressivity of his face. It's extraordinary. What's especially interesting is that it's a different set of expressions for every character. Rewatching Second Coming, I was "re-impressed" by the twitchy and childlike "Steve is confused/embarrassed" expressions, or the focused and transparent "Steve is downloading God" expressions, or particularly the innocent, absolutely radiant "Steve is love" expressions. And the ability to morph from one to the other... ::laugh:: It seems like everytime I accept how good he is, he reminds me that he's just so much better than that! Cate Blanchett is the only other person I've seen come close.

Do you know if there's any chance that Second Coming would ever show on BBC America?

*huggles CE* I remember that before I found out who CE was, I was impressed by James Callis and Jamie Bamber on BSG, when thinking of male actors. It's a little weird that I've found most of my favorite actors on the TV. But not many actors have really matched CE, none that I've seen at least. But I think we're beating a dead horse here, we've said that so much! :) I just have to watch some of his other projects so that there's something new to discuss! Oh, and I hope to have the "Dalek" post up soon!

It did a couple of years ago - which surprised me, I admit, even for a minority cable channel! They might cycle it back around.

I got a stack of DVDs yesterday from the UK, and it's like one of those games where you change one letter at a time? I just rewatched Second Coming, which stars Lesley Sharp and Christopher Eccleston, Othello with CE, Bill Paterson, and Keeley Hawes, and have been watching Life on Mars with John Simm and Philip Glenister.

Yesterday, I got:

Clocking Off which stars Lesley Sharp, Christopher Eccleston, John Simm, and Philip Glenister. (BTW, Emma Cuniffe has both co-starred with and dated John Simm and CE.)

The Canturbury Tales with Billie Piper, John Simm, and Keeley Hawes.

Shakespeare Re-Told with Billie Piper, Bill Paterson, and Keeley Hawes.

It's all so incestuous!

You might have figured out that dealing with film and television is part of my job... It's not all play, but it's all fun!

Oh, and I hope to have the "Dalek" post up soon!

I look forward to it!

It's like a vicious circle!

Oh, it sounds like fun! I've seen so many movies in my lifetime that I could name you movies having only seen the credits! Or hearing the music, that's usually the big giveaway, since that's always the first thing that my ear catches now, after eight years of orchestra. It's always the music that gets me first, it's probably why I have such a huge soft spot for "The End of the World", it's the only episode of Doctor Who that music I can actually remember, except for "Doomsday" and "Bad Wolf", the last one for reasons that aren't so pleasant.

And probably why of the 3 Lord of the Rings films, "The Two Towers" is my favorite, because the music is absolutely amazing in that one.
