I nabbed this from [profile] wish_girl because I love showing off the icons I have and because MY HEART IS FRAKKING BROKEN because Steve Irwin died.

Anyway:
Look at your LJ userpics list. If you have fewer than 50 icons, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five icons, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five icons, pick every tenth one. If you have fewer than ten, pick all of 'em. List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly why you have it, why it's interesting to you, what significance does it have.

I'm starting with the one that's not my default.  This was one of the first icons I ever had and I cannot get rid of it.  I think it's very telling why.  He is why I love men.  The best part?  The actor's British so he has the most adorable accent.

Because it's the Doctor and his soul mate, the TARDIS.

Because I'm easy and I liked this.  And Rose was acting really mature for once and I wanted a reminder of it.

Because Jackie kissing Ten is the most awesome thing ever.  And I love how Rose just can't get away fast enough.

Um...I absolutely love this scene in "Father's Day"?  And Nine is smiling?

It's Christopher Eccleston.  I'm sorry, do you need more?

Because it's one of the most romantic kisses I've ever scene.  It's so pretty.

Because I love this episode just for this.  When Ten has to say goodbye.  And he says My Sarah Jane.  I'm dying to see episodes of her with Four.

'Cause it's one of my favorites that I made and because it's Scooti, who met a tragic and early death. *sobs* Like others I could speak of.

Because John Sheppard would do anything, including risk quarantine, to save his "family".  And because I think he has a thing for Elizabeth.  They are love.

And some extra favorites:

*huggles icons*  I love my icons!  I'm willing to give some explanations on why these are pretty much some of my favorites, if you just ask.

I know how you feel. Hearing about Steve Irwin was just like the icing on the absolute SHIT that has been my morning. **sigh** I'm all over the place today, and bloody heartbroken. I keep thinking about his little girl, Bindi. :-(

*hug* I wonder if there's somewhere we can go to leave the family a message or something? Or an address to write to?

It was just so terribly shocking to hear, and my mom and I watched his movie yesterday. I feel for his wife and both kids. Especially the baby who doesn't really understand.

*hugs* I do wonder if there's a way to send condolences.

:) It's good to reflect, and help distract a bit from the sad. I can't get over what happened to Steve Irwin, or how it happened. It's like biggest most bizarre and unfair irony. I'm sorry you feel badly.

It's not so surprising that he died doing his job, it's just that he was so young and had kids and I loved his show and it's really unfair that what happened to him is so very very rare.

But I have my pretty pretty icons to reflect upon. :)

It's a bizarre death and out of the blue, and I feel for his family, but on the other hand, he went out doing something he loved. I have the same feeling I've felt about all the astronauts who died in various accidents from Apollo 1 on - they were doing something that they wanted to do. For some reason, that feels less random than a car accident or a slip in the shower. When Rick Biggs (Babylon 5) keeled over from a brain aneurysm and was just gone because he got out of bed in the morning...those are the deaths where you just think...why? How? It's weird, he stuck in my mind because he was exactly the same age and had two small kids, too.

I'm not trying to minimize the loss of Steve Irwin at all - I'm just trying to wrap my head around issues like mortality and fate. Y'know. The small stuff.

Yeah, found out when I came online this morning. Stung in the chest by a stingray.

A stingray?

Wow. I would have guessed crocodile or giant snake at first. I feel so sad. He was so full of life and had this family who loved him and I still can't believe he's gone. :(

Oh I know! I told my mom, if he was going out this way, it should have been a crocodile! Damn stingray.

*sulks*

Well, you have two things going for you: you make beautiful icons and you make Nine icons. You win!

I think I cheered quite a bit when he ran in there like that, it was awesome.

And yeah, I watched the Animal Planet too, I loved his show.
