I was looking at Stargate: Atlantis's season one promo pictures, and was immediately struck by how everyone is in everyone's personal space.  I find it funny how they're all glomped together, so I brought pictures to share with you all:

John Sheppard, Elizabeth Weir and Aiden Ford here and here.  Personally I love both of these.

This one is just pure love, with Carson, Teyla and Ford (or it's just the actors messing about).  It's funny.  And a little sexy as well.

Two of Elizabeth and John, here and here.  The second one is my favorite.  Because I'm easy like that.

And Teyla and John here where it looks like he's leaning towards her, which is slightly weird.

And my personal fave because it looks funny, Sheppard and Ford.

Sorry, but promo pictures usually make me giggle because of the postures and the facial expressions.  Like on some of the season one promos for Doctor Who where they try and make Rose look all tough and fierce.  It makes me giggle.

You're right everyone is way too close.

Shep and Ford are trying to look so manly inspite of the closeness.

They do try to look so manly. And I don't think they're standing so close in the other seasons' promos so it just makes these a little more amusing to me.

Hmmm, maybe this was to plant the idea in fan's heads that it's a closer knit cast this season. Maybe the photographer didn't bring his widelens.

The promos I posted are from the first season. For the second and third (the current) they aren't all standing so close. Although the season 3 promos are much prettier than the second season, there they were all horribly airbrushed. Not so bad for season 3.

I noticed that it was only the season 1 promos that had everyone bunched together. Would have been nice to that now.

OMG the Ford/Shep one makes my brain cry. lol.

Oh damn, how'd I miss that one?

I can't get into Shep/McKay for some reason. But Ford/Shep, probably! I miss Ford, and I haven't seen that much season one!

Most of the season one promos have John and Liz touching. It's nice, I wanna see more of it!

There's just no romantic chemistry between the two to make a reasonable relationship. They act, to me, like siblings. I don't know.

OMG, completely random, but I thought making icons was eating my brains, now I'm making headers! For no reason other than I wanted to! It has to do with looking at old Doctor Who promos, the pretty ones with Nine and Rose and rewatching episodes and stuff. My head hurts! I've never made those before! Oh, sorry about that. :)

Yes, me too. Which is why I don't see the scene in "Sateda" as shippy, he's like an awkward brother trying to tell his sister that he cares.

I meant to say something about that pic too. It's nice that they're trying to smile, but they seem so forced! But yeah, I think the biggest het ship in SGA is Shep/Weir, and people know that. I could be wrong about that, but I don't think I am.

Will the crying be because of Sheyla or because of BSG, because from my experience BSG isn't the happy go lucky show to watch when heartbroken. ;)
