So, yay, I finally watched the new Stargate: Atlantis episode. *wipes tears off cheeks* Okay.
Because no, there really wasn't any Sparky, although I appreciated the look John gave her at the end, but there...wasn't really any Sheyla either!
I was looking for it, desparately in chances of maybe giving up, but I didn't see it!
For one, I didn't get the feeling at all that Teyla was talking about Sheppard when she was talking about "the guy". Actually, and call me crazy, I had a little feeling she might have been talking about Carson.
And then Ronon mentioned "I thought you and Teyla...", well, John just mentioned that Ronon only hangs out with him and Teyla, and Ronon doesn't seem to be going for anything, so he hooked up the other too. Actually, I don't know why Ronon thought that, but when there's a group of three friends and one's of the opposite sex, or not, this is just my experience, then someone's going to start thinking something of the other two.
Um...if that made sense.
Also? What's with shippers getting all in a daze because John showed concern for Teyla? Dude, Carson wouldn't say if she would be alright, they're friends, John's allowed to be worried.
Oh Mike. You were hot and totally into Lizzie and you made her act so cute. I loved when she was walking away and Carson called out "You smell lovely" and she said "Shut up", it was the cutest.
And Lizzie could use more kissing like that. And I want that shirt she was wearing. Mike, COME BACK PLEASE.
Okay, when John and Ronon were playing golf, and that guy, Watson, was there and complimented John and his swing and he was like "Thank you Jim", did it not sound like Sheppard couldn't remember the guy's name? Or was that just Joe's reading? It sounded like "Thank.you.....Jim".
I've read some people really seem to hate Katie/Rodney. They were cute, and for the first time ever, I thought Rodney was kinda hot towards Katie and I liked it. Is it just some of the McShep shippers that are hostile towards her?
Okay, yes, I bawled at the end. The whole time, when Rodney was in the room, when Elizabeth gave her speech, when they carried the casket. *sigh*
Knowing about it beforehand, helped. A little. Oh Carson, I will miss you and your baby turtles.
I feel sorry for the people like my dad. He doesn't know about the online fandom, he doesn't know spoilers, he's just waiting for the show to come back and this is going to take him COMPLETELY by surprise. 'Cause really, it's out of the blue.
This will make me sound crazy, but at the beginning, because Teyla was hurt last week as well, I got the idea in my head for a fic where it's Elizabeth that gets caught in the blast. We hurt because we love?
Yeah, I'm crazy, you don't need to tell me that, I already know. *bounces*
It was a really good episode, I loved seeing what everyone was doing.
I keep thinking, if this episode happened in S1, they would have left it when they went through the gate. But I like that they went for closure. They needed to let Rodney have that to reasonably let him move on. Otherwise, people would be wondering, what happened to the guilt and grief in the next episode.
So, John's been married. I like that. Sorry my thoughts are so out of order.
May I be allowed to strangle everyone that's been suggesting his marriage ended because he cheated? Yes, he's been interested in other women, but if that S1 episode taught us anything, it was that he's loyal to those he cares about. So it's pissing me off to read all these people making his character a womanizer because as much as the writers "kirked" his character or what-thefuck-ever, I never figured him for that.
I think he was young when he got married and from the way he talked about it, it just wasn't something he was ready for and it ended quickly.
When Teyla was trying to get out of golf, oh that was entertaining. I loved Teyla there. And yes, I liked hearing John say that Elizabeth needed to relax and that Teyla shouldn't cancel lunch with her. I TOLD YOU I WAS EASY FOR THIS SHIP.
This episode is proof of why what they're doing to Elizabeth/Torri sucks. People who admit to not liking Elizabeth, liked her in this episode and that's a testament to Torri and to writing her well. But I'll wait, we'll see how they fuck this up.

Date: 2007-01-18 03:22 am (UTC)I didn't get the John/Teyla vibes, either. I actually thought that when they were talking about her crush, that she must not be talking about any named character, because I can't see them not saying "John/Sheppard" or "Ronon" or whatever.
I really liked Katie and Rodney, but not because I liked Katie-and-Rodney, but because I liked how Rodney was acting. I don't understand all the hostility towards them.

Date: 2007-01-18 03:45 am (UTC)You know, I think it was highly possible they were talking about some random marine or something.
You right, I loved Rodney in those scenes and David seemed like he was having fun with them.
