"People suck, friend." Best CE line since "Fantastic". He's a cynical, bitter bastard, isn't he? He sure seemed to be humoring Peter in the episode, letting Peter throw him around like that at the end. I think I had a major grin though, in every single one of his scenes though because I love listening to him talk so much.
Interesting that Peter and Claude have good points on how to work on Peter's ability. He does need to clear his head, but he needs to focus on the one that he needs, the person with the ability he needs. I won't delve into why he thought of Claire at the last moment and not his brother when that would have been less painful. But I suppose the writers just like to beat up their characters.
DUDE, CLAUDE HAS CONNECTIONS TO MR. BENNET! That fucking rocks, my dad looked over at me with his mouth hanging open when that was revealed. OMG, can't wait to see how that turns out.
So, as boring as I think it is, IMHO, I'm not really surprised at Claire's dad's reveal. Am I the only one not in outrage over it? Of course, I'm confused because I thought I read an interview where it said her father wouldn't be revealed until later February.
Anyway, he likes pretty blondes, so I'm just not surprised that it's Nathan.
And having Peter prattle on about Claire in that manner doesn't help ease the shippers minds, although I have to admit to being a little queasy at the thought that people are still going full force in shipping Peter/Claire. I'm not into the incest pairings at all, so this is no different. Nothing against the people doing the shipping, just the pairing at the moment. And no offense meant towards anyone on my flist, I love you guys.
I need more CE, seriously. This isn't enough.
I wasn't going to let the Claire age thing bother me until it was mentioned in this episode that she's a junior. Fuck, that should put her at 16/17 and yet she's supposedly 15/16. You guys are good PTB, but you're getting hella sloppy.
So, 15 years ago, a lot was happening, how does that all connect?
All I still want to know is if Claude can make himself visible to others, has it just been a choice all these years for him to be invisible? Questions, questions, questions. Heroes, do not turn into Lost on me, alright? Okay, my head's spinning, I'm done.

Date: 2007-02-06 10:03 pm (UTC)TPTB seem to have so much stuffed 14/15 years ago, Claude could have made sense, or my personal favorite of her dad actually being her dad. I don't understand why they're throwing Nathan in there.
What I find really interesting is that I've read a lot of reviews from people on LJ and it seems evenly split on how people feel about the dad reveal. So...whatever. I'm one of those that didn't ship Peter/Claire but doesn't like that Nathan turned out to supposedly be her father.
Claire's age in another thing that makes me go huh I guess tptb really hated the Peter/Claire ship.
While I think the dad-reveal has been planned for a while, before they knew of the Peter/Claire chemistry, I'm pretty firm in my belief that the age thing is something added at the last minute. There just really isn't a need to put such an emphasis on age, and they've done that for the last few episodes.
I think Heroes is way better than lost.

1) Claude rocks, and Claude throwing Peter off that roof is just AWESOME!! But I think I loved Peter's Sonofabitch even more! It was perfect! Claude and Peter are even more entertaining than Hiro and Ando!
2) Claire's age. it entertains me as hell. You know that on Heroes' official MySpace, she is said to be 17, and on Claire Bennet's official MySpace, she's said to be 18. Seriously. Even the NBC can get the thing right. It just makes it soooo stupid.
3) Claire's mom freaks me out. I don't know. I don't find her... honest... But it's maybe my reaction to the whole 'Who's her daddy?' plot that makes me so suspicious. I have a nasty feeling about her *shudders*
4) Peter and Claire: I won't stop shipping them. And I do admit that incest doesn't make me feel anything. It just makes the ship more interesting. Well, don't get me wrong. No more NC-17 fics for me, that's squicky but for the rest, guh... RST is not fine for me but UST is... That's my line.
And that sad little smile was so cute... So so so cute. Everyone can take it like he wants, but it was so cute. And that's the only reason why I'm happy Nathan is her father. Thus, she'll have scenes with Peter!!! He he!
5) I don't like Nathan being her father and it's not because of Peter/Claire. Actually what I like in this show is the ordinary people with extraordinary powers, and though I do like that characters meet and cross each others' paths in a direct or indirect way, I don't like the whole "Everything's connected"... it just makes the show a little less ordinary I wouldn't have minded Claude to be her father I admit but Nathan... it's just too big...
Anyway, another great Heroes episode!!

I feel weird thinking that though because of my obvious bias for CE. But I really don't care! They're too awesome.
Claire's mom freaks me out too, but for a different reason. The actress was on the show Nip/Tuck, and if I remember correctly, she was crazy there.
I know what you mean, there's one thing to have things connect and everyone come together, but there's no need to make things so connected.
Although, the Claude-Mr. Bennet connection is still making me squee.
