"Unexpected"
I don't care, I never wanted Simone to die, she grew on me, even if I never really liked her relations with Peter or Isaac. I'll get into this later.
That's not the last we see of Claude/CE, is it? That would make me terribly sad. :( Yes,
quiet_fractures, I did get entirely too attached!
I find it so very interesting that Mr. Bennet didn't actually seem to care about Peter. After Claire called, he made no comment about Peter, telling the Haitian that "Claude would have to wait". OMGSQUEE, I want to see/know backstory so bad. Particularly see.
My dad's firm in his belief that Claude was just a test subject like everyone else, but I'm not buying. Yes, obviously he was, but Bennet said that an "old friend" wasn't as dead as they thought, meaning history and he hasn't been after others whom he's released.
I HAVE TO KNOW.
I immensely enjoyed Peter getting beat up. And it was so cool when he stopped the stick. And Claude just got another one to beat him with. Hee.
But...as awesome as Claude/CE is, and as much as Peter was benefiting from the lessons, he was better off not having training!
The Peter of just a few weeks ago would have been horrified at the thought of hurting someone with his abilities, his fight with Isaac turned him around. He went beyond anger, he enjoyed taunting him and wouldn't even listen to him. I understand that he has a right to be angry, but his behavior went above and beyond the Peter we know. And nowhere in a good way.
Now I know where these hints MV has given us came from. I don't think Peter's the hero we all came to believe in. Yeah.
I told you Claire would lose it! That scene in the hospital with her dad hurt. And good thing they weren't on ER, daddy would have been arrested! Um...context for that sentence would be nice. Doctors on that show always seem quick to jump to spousal/child abuse and call the police. So, I don't really believe they walked out of there without being questioned.
Line that made me go AWW? Claire's mom saying they should curl up in her bed with pie and watch a Cary Grant movie. I do that with my mom every now and then.
Why is it that I adore Hiro and Ando, and yet, can never bring up anything in my little reviews about them? Heh.
I want to mention or say something about Matt, but really? He seems to be losing it, he's being backed into a corner and somebody's going to regret it when he lashes out. Well, I guess we'll see that next week.
Okay, like I said, I never wanted Simone to die. But if she were to die, this just...damn. I yelled when it happened, it surprised me to hell and gone.
What I'm afraid of right now, is how the Isaac and Peter will react. Both of course will grieve. But how will they blame? Technically, it belongs to both of them. Isaac was trying to protect himself from a seemingly mad man, and protecting the future of the city, but he still pulled the trigger - twice. And Peter...I'm glad I never got overly attached to him, as I see him descending into...something.
What AM I missing?

Date: 2007-02-20 04:05 am (UTC)Ironically, for all his (very) tough love technique, Claude was teaching Peter control. When he gets taken away, Peter goes nuts.

Date: 2007-02-20 04:16 am (UTC)I NEED MORE CLAUDE. *nods*
Dude, they need to have a show where CE beats up annoying people with a stick. Or just a show of Claude and Peter Adventures.
I was so sad when he left Ando, but AWW at the same time because Hiro doesn't know what he'd do if he lost Ando. I think though, it'll help Hiro in the long run.

Date: 2007-02-21 01:51 am (UTC)Plus total waste of time to bring in Claude to train him if he was goinng evil.
Or, that was the point? I dunno. I can't guess what the writers want to do or what they intend anymore.
I'll forgive them, for a time, if they give me one more episode with Claude. At least.

Date: 2007-02-21 01:47 am (UTC)Hmm...I don't see Bennet as a bad guy, he's in a nice shade of gray for me.
Man, I hope Mohinder is smarter then they're making him, but really, he has no reason to suspect him, yeah? Although, I'd be seriously creeped out by him anyway so he'd be long gone.

Date: 2007-02-25 01:38 pm (UTC)But I think the writers messed up with the triangle, and like in Lost, when they want to make the triangle works, the female character gets to be confused about her feelings. But then, she inevitably ends up as whining. I like how she died though, and I'm glad it was her rather than another one, because I'm fairly attached to every other character. But that's me :)
The rest of the episode was great too, and I think CE has two other episodes to make, so we'll see him until episode 18. I wish we would see him more after that but I guess that's why CE's appearances are so important, because he's so rare.

Date: 2007-02-26 12:06 pm (UTC)I wonder if TPTB will leave the door open for him to come back in the future... I hope so.

Date: 2007-02-26 02:51 pm (UTC)I think they'll leave the door open for him, the question would be whether or not CE will take it.
